Tesla manufacturing plant to be announced tomorrow..

The information I have came from local business leaders and I have no reason to doubt them or believe that they would make it up.

If it's wrong then so be it but time will tell.

I appreciate that we have a few doubters or people already ready to tear down the thought of it but of it turns out to be true then hopefully they'll be just as happy to give applause and cheer at what would be a major announcement.
Chris, I think if you come on here & said good morning mooners someone would pick a fault over it, that's the impression I get & BTW it's cracking news, 👍

I had also read about major investment in the are around hydrogen production and infrastructure and hydrogen fuel cell manufacture. Most fuel cells need batteries to work so could be linked.

I think it would help if Chris refrained from baiting, almost inviting an argument.
If you are aware that good news is about to be announced by all means sing it from the rooftops but let's leave the goading out of it.

Unlike posters who will anything about Brexit just to get a reaction, I don't think it's baiting, he's chuffed positive things are happening for us

It isn’t actually news yet! You’re easily pleased aren’t you? I’ll wait until there’s a more solid source than @ChrisTheRed .

I know, I know he’ll be gloating at me tomorrow when the announcement is made. This will only prove to show he doesn’t get why I doubt him. I can live with that though.

You're easily wound up

How is it baiting?

All he's done is share a rumour? It's exactly the same as talking about transfer rumours involving the club.

He's not getting a fair crack of the whip lately and it's a bit sad. It's unfortunate because I know exactly how he probably feels.

If it's true about a Tesla connection to Teesside then it's huge news. If not then we move on.

Spot on Randy 👍
It isn't baiting, if someone else had posted it the usual suspects wouldn't have charged in

It's different to a transfer rumour. He's baiting on something that is an emotive issue and he knows it's going to get a response. If it's true, he can wait until tomorrow so we can all celebrate. if it's false he's just exposed how desperate he is to try and justify certain political events.

And the "usual suspects" turned up and attacked anyone who raised questions due to lack of details as wishing bad on the area or lacking optimism.

The same people who disappeared from the thread once the 18k got edited down to hundreds.

I need a job and I'm desperate for good news on the jobs front, I do also however want details not rhetoric. If that comes tomorrow then great.

How is it?
He's heard some potentially good news for the area but people who are still hung up about the area been a **** hole that can't attract any new business automatically shoot it down without any proof otherwise. If Chris told you the world was round and the sky was blue you and a few others on here would call him out on it because you don't like him.

18,000 direct and indirect jobs isn't exactly a mind blowing amount of jobs is when you break it down.

18000 has already been shown to be a competent fabrication. Maybe that why people are doubtful he's already lied once.

Also you seem to have ignored my point. If he's that certain he can avoid the ridicule and wait until tomorrow when it as announced.

Let's be brutally honest here: he's going to try and spin it and say it's a brexit benefit. That's the problem. Brexiteers are so pathetically desperate to justify their membership of the cult they'll find any desperate rumour they can and post it as fact. It's actually quite sad.

Anyone who questioned the lack of details in the 18k thread got shot down by him, but yeah everyone else has the problem.

We should all just nod and agree.

The 18k headline figure got edited in the gazette article down to hundreds within an hour. They also removed a section that worked out how much of Teesside's population that it would represent.

Not getting into an argument Randy, I've worked on Teesside for 35 years in every industry imaginable so to suggest I'm unhappy about the prospect of new industries and jobs is a bit unfair really.

Chris can be quite inflammatory. He's not just sharing a rumour, he's also inviting an argument at the same time which is quite different.

His opening post on the recent "18k jobs to the area as a direct result of Brexit..." thread included This is again fantastic news but I'm sure some will find a way of twisting it seeing as it's on the back of Brexit. Why do that?

His second post on this thread includes I appreciate that we have a few doubters or people already ready to tear down the thought of it. Again, why?

If I had a potential scoop (not a rumour by the way because he's had it from business leaders) I'd share it, wait for the official announcement then ram it up the doubter's arses.

Can you blame the lad? Anything he posts gets jumped on straight away.

I'm sure it all started when he posted that daily covid related death toll numbers were going down was good news and people ripped him apart for it. Which was utterly ridiculous as other posters posted exactly the same on other threads but were left alone.

Like I said he's posted a rumour and if it's true then marvelous. If not then we move on.
