Terry Hall

Hi Billy it was released in 1994 and is just a brilliant pop album. The lyrics and vocals on the album are up there with his best for me. I hope you enjoy it as much as me.

Forever J is one of the greatest lost pop singles ever, and Home is indeed a work of genius. I pretty much queued all night outside my local record shop when they re-issued it on vinyl for RSD to make sure I got a copy.

RIP Terry x

Shouldn't be shocked at my age but a sad start to the day. Didn't he once say that Ghost Town was about Middlesbrough?

Ghost town was the first record I bought with my pocket money. Played it over and over and over. He was such a clever songwriter and so far ahead of his time.

Birth of a Rude Boy - I remember buying Gangsters in 79 and I'd managed to find a second hand grey suit and trilby at a jumble sale. I got a number 4 at Wilsons in Stockton and the rest is history. Exciting times for a 17 year old lad.

He could have done. They often said it was about every town they seemed to visit on tour, because so many were going the same way.

If you go on you tube you can see some of his collaborations with others, ones I found
Terry/sinead o Connor all kinds of every thing
Terry/Dave Stuart psycho killer
Terry/Ian mculloch perfect day
Terry/libertines Gangsters
Terry/lightning seeds lucky you

Will be sadly missed
