Hi Billy it was released in 1994 and is just a brilliant pop album. The lyrics and vocals on the album are up there with his best for me. I hope you enjoy it as much as me.

Forever J is one of the greatest lost pop singles ever, and Home is indeed a work of genius. I pretty much queued all night outside my local record shop when they re-issued it on vinyl for RSD to make sure I got a copy.

He is mate. He's sat in the lift on the left with the guitar. He co wrote Sense with Ian Broudie.

The Specials and UB40 made growing up back in the 80s definitely more colourful and despite Hall’s personality he kind of shaped Ska music in that moment in time. Gangsters was definitely an epic single which I also loved to listen to no matter when.

So sad. Another part of my youth gone. And another shout out for Home. It's the perfect pop album, with a plethora of willing collaborators, from Andy Partridge to Ian Broudie to Nick Heyward to Craig Gannon and others. Forever J is a particular favourite.

I understand what you mean there mate but unfortunately what came with the music was fvcking grim. It wasn't much fun at all living in Thatcher's Britain in the late 70s/early 80s, especially in Northern towns and cities. Music could be a distraction but the next day was back to no jobs, no money and tatty clothes
