No you wouldn’t be mad at all. He is a long way from being irreplaceable.

I think Tav is. No one can bring what he does with his energy and drive. Our best player last night alongside Howson. Crooks form been poor before suspension. Needs to earn his place, shouldn’t walk back in

And I don’t think he is at all irreplaceable. He is a pretty good player, but I’d be far from heartbroken if he left for a good fee. I think McGree is a better footballer and they are both left footed CM players.
Tav may be able to play LWB. It would be unfair to say he couldn’t just because he didn’t thrive at RWB.
If Crooks has trained well he should come straight back in for me, in the same way Fry should.

I do think we need to be pragmatic on Crooks. His height is a big miss at set pieces and his link up play with Jones and Dijksteel very good. The fact he is a walking potential red every game troubles me though. I am a fan of McGree as you know I’d try him out alongside Coburn as a no10 (they sang my suggested song last night btw, do i get royalties?)
Personally, given the size of our squad, not many aren’t irreplaceable. The team picks itself when the squad is fully fit apart from the strikers. Tav‘s energy is his biggest asset. He is currently in form and capable of a goal like last night. I just wish Wilder would put Paddy back on set pieces, Tav can sit around the 18 yard box looking for any poor clearances, he is not great on set pieces, neither is Howson.
