The lack of pace in midfield is brutal

Bet there is urgency to get a CM in this week. The midfield is the biggest issue at present - no pace, no aggression, not really protecting defence, not really supporting attack.......kind of ambles along playing nice square passes.

Dijksteel or bola to be fair. Not much defensively between them. Howson does cover the defence and makes some excellent tackles. Crooks in the with his physicality going forward and backward. McGree with freedom in the 10 role then 2 up top. Jones and Giles just making sure the ball is in the opposition box. Steffen needs to stop playing it cool

I’m afraid Fry’s time here maybe coming to an end, there’s definitely an issue with him and Wilder.
I wouldn’t mind seeing Howson sitting one out, perhaps try Dijksteel there? Defence should be left stable for a few games, I personally would play McNair LCB, but Wilder seems to have taken a shine to Bola, so for now let’s go

Not sure about this one, considering he had no service whatsoever he still managed to do okay. If we can sort our creativity out he will score goals.

It's clear now that if we're going to play with a 3, Fry can only play in the centre.
He offers very little going forwards so he's wasted on the right.
He's poor on the left.
Lenihan has been fine defensively for the last few games and is more of a goal threat.

I agree but I can only think Payero was home sick and asked to go back, its a real shame, in the short minutes he played, yes the pace of the game was hard for him but you could see he was comfortable on the ball and could play

Yes if we lose to Swansea we then have Watford away. Nowt there obviously so it could be Wilder needing a win against the mackems to keep his job.
Same line up and formation I’d choose too. Totally agree with you regarding McGree floating as a No 10.
I just think he has that pass or trick to put someone in. He has unreal feet with the ball. Again with him in that position it’s fairly cavalier so your defenders have to be on the ball.
