true, what I don't like the idea of is Engel against the mobile Morgan Whittaker cutting inI just think it’ll be a totally different game on Saturday and we’ll approach it differently.
We won’t be planning on 30% possession and hitting them on the break.
Difficult one. 3 CBs worked well in three games, but they were all games where were expected to soak up pressure. If Jones was fit for RWB it would be more of an option for me.3 CBs worked, should we maybe do that again?, when playing out from the back it gives more options, when out of possession it gives us more central solidity. Both McNair and Clarke are probably better suited to 3 at the back too, as is Engel
You can argue over how they will line up but this is the team I would pick as well—————Glover—————
McNair——RVDB——Clarke
Ayling——Barlaser—--Engel
McGree—-Azaz——O’Brien
—————Silvera————-

Carrick may go with Thomas on the left. We don't really know if he is defensively better than Engel. He, probably, isn't as effective goiing forward, and if he is, he will get caught out of position and/or find himself isolated on one-on-ones.true, what I don't like the idea of is Engel against the mobile Morgan Whittaker cutting in
By the most comfortable on the ball stepping into central midfield when you have possession, so that would be McNairI like the 3 cb's, but how do you play that when you have 60 or 70% possession. It does help out both Ayling and Engel, for obvious reasons.
A central midfield of Barlaser flanked by two full back sounds awful
I mean it was essentially how we lined up at Leicester. You could argue the FB’s were in a five but Barlaser was in a 1 behind 3 behind silveraA central midfield of Barlaser flanked by two full back sounds awful
Obrien wasn’t wide left he provided a lot more central supportI mean it was essentially how we lined up at Leicester. You could argue the FB’s were in a five but Barlaser was in a 1 behind 3 behind silvera
