This is what I would do.. I'd dial it back a bit from 3-5-2, I'd be more inclined to favour a Warnock-esque 3-4-3 😍

I'd take a bit of the defensive pressure away from Tavernier with Dijksteel behind him and move into a 4-2-3-1 shape to have any break downs in attack (interceptions, dispossession) to be covered by a double pivot of Crooks and Howson.

Stojanovic in for Daniels.. just because. We bought him for a reason and we've not moved him on. Canny shot shopper with a great presence in the box.

Substitutes bang on 65/70 minutes Jones, Hernandez & Payero probably looking to replace Watmore, Sporar and Tavernier

I think our fatigue comes from the back Dijksteel replaces Peltier for me

Bamba and Howson should be covered in the squad by Fry & Siliki, unfortunately this isn't the case at the moment and we're kind of stuck where we are with it.

Sporar/Watmore & Coburn/Ikpeazu are exposed with the loss/unavailability of Ameobi & Browne it soon becomes clear how much our squad can be improved with the return of these players and/or strengthening of those areas in January.

I personally don't think Daniels, Jones or Peltier deserve to be dropped
Strange that Lumley has gone from 2nd to 3rd choice after 1 game under Wilder, unless he was injured last night (or Stojanovic was on Saturday)

So you have just removed Tav from the position everyone tells me is his best so that he can hide away from doing the job he is supposed to do? 🤔

I think Lumley was injured. I’ve stuck Stoj in just because. Jones as an impact sub in an attempt to flip the script on 70 minuites. Dijksteel gets the nod over Peltier.. probably harsh but he’s been better for us for longer.

With regards to Jones, as someone stated on another thread, I think he actually does his defensive duties ok. The issue for me is that he seems reluctant to have a real go at the opposition full back like he did earlier in the season because he knows that if it goes t1ts up, its up to him to get back and chase the full back / winger which is a real shame as he looked fantastic previously. The issues with playing as a wing back though I guess. Needs to calm down a bit too when shooting! :ROFLMAO:

We need to play the same as we did in the first half last night and repeat in the second half

Assuming we don't have anyone back from injury it will be more or less the same team.

One thing about Wilder's first two games that has frustrated me a little is that we don't currently have the players to play the system he wants. I know that's how he wants to play, and how we will play in the long term, but I think we could have been a bit more flexible with the formation and play to our strengths. We'll go with the same formation again though and I do think we need to freshen it up a bit this weekend, especially at the back...
