Team for Chelsea if Jones doesn't make it?

Think it will be some sort of 4-5-1
Glover
RVDB - Fry - Clarke - Engel
Crooks - Howson - Barlaser - Hackney - Rogers
Coburn

Might be a 4-4-1-1 with Crooks playing behind Coburn.

I doubt Forss will start for fitness reasons but he'll presumably spot Coburn after 60-70 minutes.
Gilbert will continue not to play no matter what.

Ud personally play 5-4-1. Just park the bus like rotherham did. Mcnair could be a surprise inclusion at CB in a 3 with RVB at right back

Azaz, Greenwood and Ayling are all cup-tied.

He'll go with Crooks up top and play with wing-backs I reckon. Possibly this

Is dijksteel fit?

You are right he will go with wingbacks and look for support from the left and right sided attackers.

If coburn is capable of 60-70 minutes he may play him up top. Wouldn't be my first choice, but he does hold the ball up and will releive pressure.

A lot of assumptions in this like. That Coburn and O'Brien are fit enough to start most notably
Iā€™d be happy with that team providing Howson Oā€™Brien and Coburn fit enough to start. Think we need to find a place for Forss though as we need a ruthless finisher on the pitch. Need to take our chances when we get them.

Iā€™d be happy with that though if Forss canā€™t start due to playing more than expected the other day

Can't imagine Howson has the legs or the pace to play wing back for 90 minutes. If that was the team more likely that vdB would be the RWB and Howson at CB

I think without Lath and Jones, not alot of pace then we need to look at slowing the game down, chances at set pieces, frustrating them. 5 at the back, Coburn holds the ball up and can win a free kick, Crooks' with his height is a must.
It's not going to be pretty, but if they haven't scored after 20mins their fans will be moaning and that clock can run down quickly for them and they'll get frustrated. We'll grow in confidence its just about keeping it tight, keeping your concentration and plugging gaps and following runners. I make it sound easy, we'll have it wrapped up by half time. UTB

Crooks is a must anyway.
He has most goals and assists in the league this season. More than any other player.
He has presence that will be important.

I'm convinced this is how we'll line up to be honest.

Donā€™t get me wrong it wouldnā€™t be my preference and I wouldnā€™t be starting him. Just a suggestion really. I wouldnā€™t go with it

He plays there often for Northern Ireland.
Maybe not actually the best recommendation as they've been doing pretty terribly recently!

Unless we have players fit I donā€™t think we have much choice.. Jones maybe? Latte Lath is further away than Coburn..

Not even sure how our bench will line up.
Yea.

The only other thought i had was bringing o'brien (or howson) in, and pushing hackney further up. But the team you've posted seems the most settled.
