What would you go for? Plenty over social media over reacting already plotting on dropping Smith, Giles, Leinhan and their dogs for a few bad games!

For me it's gotta be

Steffen
Smith Fry (if fit) Leinhan Giles
Howson Barlaser
Ramsey Chuba Mcgree
Archer

Harsh on Crooks who bagged himself a goal yesterday but we just look much more mobile with Archer up top.
I'd also give Hackney a one or two game rest, his performances had dropped even before our mini blip as expected when a young player comes through so I think it'd make sense giving him a few bench Appearences get him refreshed for the final few and the play offs.

Norwich have 1 win in 6, its a great opportunity to dent a rivals hopes while establishing ourselves.

Can't wait already

I’ve just said in my thread about Ramsey, I’m not fussed on him and McGree starting in the same team, especially whilst we seem to have a weakness in the right side of our defence. Both are great going forward but not the best when it comes to defending, which is where Forss comes into it.

Archer and Fry definitely start if both are fit enough.

I’d stick with Howson and Hackney.

I do think Hackney may be in need of a 'rest', Howson too after yesterday - I think their collective failure to keep hold of the ball and not give it away massively contributed to the defence getting overloaded. Yes the defenders themselves were poor but not helped by the lack of cover from midfield and us constantly giving the ball away.

Id deffo go with McGree, whoever else he sticks with

I know the result is important but I think more important is a good performance (cliche alert!) to get confidence back

Id go with that.
Whoever plays we must get a grip on Pukki.

I'd be tempted to go with a back 3, wingbacks with a left sided centre back to give us balance, 3 in the middle and 2 up top.
In all serious though
Steffan
Dijksteel. Fry. Lenihan. Giles
Forrs. Barlaser. Howson. Mcgree
Chuba
Archer

I’d probably go with Crooks again due in part because Norwich are down to the last threads of their defence (Hanley + Gibson) both injured. I’m still on the fence when it comes to Archer starting but Ramsey was equally average v BC, so McGree comes in for him. I’d keep the midfield as is although I think Barlaser must be itching to start.

Same but with hackney. If I were to rest him I'd play mowatt.
Not sure about Mowatt, he does a job, but his best use is in protecting a lead when it helps to slow the game down? He may be needed in the latter stages for exactly this though, more on this at the bottom.

Fry in for McNair is a no-brainer though, provided he is able to play of course.

If Fry is back then Smith keeps his place as he won't get dragged around as much? I would stick Forss on in place of Ramsey though, it's a squad game and Ramsey cam come on as a sub later.

McGree starts. As has been mentioned before by others, he's our most creative player in my opinion too.

Most of the rest of the squad (Steffen, Akpom, Lenihan, etc picks itself) I would give Archer the nod over Crooks, a tad harsh along with Ramsey that he misses out after them both pulling us out of the fire yesterday, but impress on them both it's a squad game and they all need minutes for the probable playoffs.
In reality, Archer sprinting around up top will invariably drag more focus from Norwich away from meaningful attacks.

The only tricky decision for me is whether to rest Hackney up for a game or at least part of it? If so I'd look to Barlaser in the first instance, but Hackney to play some even reduced part in the game. Should we be a few goals to the good then hook Howson and that's when Mowatt can come on in his place.

Not harsh on Crooks, he was poor for most of the game yesterday, yes he scored and fair play to him , but he looks so awkward leading the line.
Archer if fully fit should start every time.
I agree with your back four and midfield, but would play, Forss Chuba Ramsey

Why on earth would they need a "rest" - they're professional athletes / footballers FFS

Those two start every time for me ...... though I accept Barlaser must be wondering what the hell is going on

Archer for Crooks.

Mowatt or Barlaser for Hackney.

I'd prefer Fry started but it doesn't sound like he'll be available.

That's it for me.

Hackney has went off the boil lately, and Crooks struggles as a striker.

Would normally have McGree in the side but you can't fault Ramsey's second half performance.

Is fry injured as I've heard conflicting reports. If he's not then he's a definite starter ahead of mcnair
. Then I'd put dijksteel in ahead of Smith. Smith may be a great leder but he's too slow and teams are targeting that now. I love crooks but it's definitely Archer up front for me.
I'd keep Forus on the right. Wasn't his best game the other night but he brings more balance than mcree iver there i feel. Can't decide between mcgree or ramsey on the kept as they've both been excellent

Carrick said he took a knock in training and would be assessed when they got back.

It didn't sound particularly minor, but Carrick has form for implying a player would be missing and then they're in the starting 11, so who knows.

He did look out of sorts didn't he? I like Crooksy but a centre forward he is not, or one that leads the line at least and he certainly ain't going to replace Akpom.

I'd expect Archer to be back in, possibly McGree for Forss, possibly not.

It was interesting that Dijksteel was being readied to replace Smith, until the latter crossed for the first goal. He struggles against pace, but I still expect him to start.
