Talk to me about Hackney

Plays forward all of the time so will always give the ball away. Not overrated at all but hasn't had a good start to the season and hasn't played well today.

Ultimately if you don't take your chances you make things difficult.

I’ve watched him for the under 21s. Hes not a superstar for them either

He looks better than he does for us. A lot of the good moves start with him. He plays a deeper role where he doesn’t have to take pot shots at goal and can pick players out in good positions in front of him. It’s his natural game.

No leadership. It’s been missing for a long time. No one is prepared to take the game by the scruff of the neck. We are just going through the motions week in week out.
 
I'm beginning to worry that he's going to prove to be a one season wonder. He was poor last season although I had some sympathy for him due to injuries and being asked to play as a 10 at times.

I think you also can't under-estimate how important Howson was to his development. It's a shame Howson is now on his last legs because he was such an important player for us.
 
His pass completion today must be close to 10%. And his aggressive ball winning seems to have disappeared.

Rest of the team looked bemused as us fans at his passes today. Think the Sky love in with him as got to his head. Awful today. League 2 level performance
