Taking back control?

Worried about the next election, your average working class person seems to care more about immigration (which is a good thing for all countries) than they do about a cost of living crisis or a tanking economy or the daily corruption thanks to 12 years of Tory rule
 
Of course, the students will come back, but the number of foreign students will remain high, as they're up for paying the fees.
That's expected and it just skews the figures. Students are temporary.

Basically 3 years of students have come in but only 1 year has left because the previous 2 years had no international students. Usually net migration for students is 0ish because the same amount coming in are graduating and leaving each year.
 
I'm not sure what to make of this at all.

What period are we talking about specifically?

Always sceptical of stats.
