Takeaways eaten at home is something people could cut back on.
I don't want to sound like Lee Anderson, but even with the cost of energy used and ready meals , cooking at home must be less than half of the price.
When I worked long hours (8 years ago) I used to get a Chinese as a treat and I would drop in on the way home, but it was £6.50 now probably £12. It was quick and almost addictive and gone in 15 minutes. Not much cleaning up, but I spend that money eating out now at lunch time after a morning walk.
