That's true, and this is where our last couple of seasons of frugal cost cutting will be to our benefit.

I agree that Bolasie will just be too expensive, Kebano I wouldn't be against it, good player. NML I'm sure will be offered a new contract and I think he might take it.

Hopefully we are already looking elsewhere as backup options.

I think Saville's absence recently speaks volumes. I suspect he might be moved on if we get an offer. He's decent enough but in my opinion Morsy offers more in that he has more influence more often.

greed due to his fee and expectations he will be on big wages, too big for a squad player. One website has him as our third top earner by this summer after Howson and McNair. Needs to be playing every week if he's earning that much.
 
Warnock has brought a lot of players in , of HIS choice , almost a full team , so don't put the blinkers on, this is his team and his formation and tactics .
Will he bring in the right players next time ?
In the last window , Kebano Fisher and Morsy apart , they have under performed .
Bolasie , NML , Betinelli , Akpom have been average .
He has said he wants 3 players , is this enough ?( we look like losing 6 )

Jonas Wind , Copenhagen CF being an example , although better value choices would be

Hes got a scratch side.
Take the loanees and those out of contract at the end of the season - out of the equation.
We`re left with a few experienced pros and kids.

I think Spence, Akpom and Bolasie need to show Warnock a far better attitude and application - otherwise all 3 will be bombed. His comments told you everything you needed to know about his current assessment of those 3
 
I wouldn't expect much financially, rightly so, but the big question is, can we identify and attract players who'll genuinely improve us.
The academy route doesn't seem to be providing a great deal of attacking talent and that's where we'll have to look into the transfer market.
I've got little faith in our recruitment setup with regard to identifying the likes of a Maupay or similar who'll bang the goals in at this level.
A few years of mid-table might not be a bad thing as long as we improve off the pitch in terms of producing and spotting talent.
 
I think (my opinion only), that NW will want to keep the two Northern Ireland boys together at the club. He gives the impression that he likes to keep harmony when it’s warranted.

I don't think anyone outside of the prem will have money to spend. There will be a lot of players with expired contracts, and others released, or given free transfers to get them off the wage bill. The foreign market could prove to be good if we are handling covid better than europe...possibly.
 
Main decision for me in the close season is nailing down our standard formation. Appreciate that we need to change things sometimes but this season we've seen players forced into positions which don't suit them.

It's a side effect of having a small squad but just goes to underline the fact that it's quality AND quantity we likely need in the summer.
 
We need whole new strike force 3 strikers . We need new wingers as doubt Bolasie Kebano stay. Maybe keep Mendez. Then we need new CM, new LB cover for bola along with CB cover.
