Surviving 911

Interesting programme - lots of new footage and photos - emotionally difficult to watch in parts be warned.
Watched half before work, bit I found most emotional was the fireman talking about his family right there in the moment. Things like that get me more now I’m a parent
 
Interesting programme - lots of new footage and photos - emotionally difficult to watch in parts be warned.
I still have a load of photos that I have seen once and never looked at again, taken by one of my work colleagues who had just walked up from Greenwich Street after the first tower came down. He and his wife had to come out to stay with us on Long Island until they could get another place to stay.
 
Good mate of mine was flying from Boston to the west coast on the same day.

Flights were booked for him, as was normal for us, he turned up to the airport and had the chance to take the earlier flight but decided to have a coffee and grab his normal flight.

Went to the gate as normal, and wondered what the hold up was.

Very sobering experience
 
It’s a shame they included the footage of the brother, who felt they used explosives. They could have left that bit out. Clearly a grieving family and still trying to find answers. I think then could have shown the bones bit, but left that bit out
