Surprised he hasn’t been sacked yet

He`s probably just finished his Sunday roast an sipping a glass of red wine.
Away from all the "noise and nonsense" [His words - Friday]🍷

18 months left on his contract. I imagine he's one of the highest paid managers in the champo? Certainly in the top 4 or 5.

That's a fortune in paying him and his staff off.

We could end up with a stalemate. He wants out but we won't sack him.

I think thats exactly right my understanding is he's been asked to find another club for that reason but for Boro we are running out of time with results in the meantime.

Of course we can afford to sack him. We saved a fortune by not buying any midfielders so we had plenty of money saved in the manager sacking fund.

Who blinks 1st, for me he should have gone a few weeks back

Rumour was Wilder managed to negotiate a new contract after all the Burnley stuff. If that’s right, Gibson must be absolutely fuming because things have just not been the same since. But letting this fester rather than pay him off now is going to cost us a lot more in the long term. Relations must be at an all time low

Think it will take a few more defeats before Gibson pulls the plug.

A defeat on Wednesday would cause uproar in the stands no doubt, but I think Gibson will still stand firm.
