Supporters Forum Meeting - Agenda Items Request

The club aren't going to spend money increasing available seats for home fans when we aren't selling out.

Genuine question - why don't you think it worked ?
It used to work fine when we first moved to the Riverside and we were in the PL where away crowds were decent. Once we went down and the numbers dwindled then it made the stadium look empty. We had to leave quite a big gap, couldn't sell season tickets in an area that might have away fans if there was a big following so the entire south stand had hardly anyone in it.

Pretty much every ground has the loudest section behind a goal and as the former holgate residents became pensioners and stopped singing it meant an alternative signing section was needed but them choosing the area closest to away fans was causing trouble so they moved them both and the distance between them is now greater. The new away section was always the last part of the ground to sell as well so made sense (same with GRFZ on the other side) because prices there were East stand prices but not any better than the south stand view in the corner for South stand prices.

I’d just echo those that have asked about the morons in the south stand booing the taking of the knee and if the club will be addressing it. It’s embarrassing and it’s getting louder each time. I’m moving to the North stand next season anyway, but it still shames us as a fan base because of a few beaked up imbeciles.

Supporters Forum Agenda for next Monday.
Some of the points raised on this thread were tackled and answered last meeting - I did link you to the minutes and also copied and pasted some of the answers about Errea kits etc.

So nothing on the artificial restriction of the GRFZ and how you can't move into it as a ST holder because it's sold out? Or anything on why it has to be limited to a certain area of the ground and we can't access the offer whilst continuing to stay where we've always sat?

The womens team? taking the knee and the impact not doing it has had on the fanbase and perception of the club.. what we've been up to instead? and more importantly.. perhaps most important above all.. can we paint some lines on the floors in the concourse so folks know where to queue up?

There were enough suggestions from you for a whole meeting lol
Women's team - talks were ongoing, last I heard - I am hoping we can work with the women's club to raise their profile with fans and make them feel more a part of the Boro again.
Concourse lines - Peter Hall was asked last forum but last I heard he was ill. He was looking at increasing signage.
Taking the knee - I can bring it up in Any Other Business. If you look at the list Boro Massala have set up to try and make a difference - Boro Lioness is already working closely with the club over equality, diversity and inclusion.
I didn't pick the list but there were so many suggestions from this forum alone it would have taken a week to go through them all.

Primus - we have been asked to a discussion this summer looking at ways of possibly extending the GRFZ - am sure you are aware it is a special zone with lots of safeguarding in there. The concourse is a safe family zone with entertainment and education activities and even the food/drink is different to the rest of the ground. So, it isn't straight forward as providing extra seats - it is also how do you extend the special environment for families behind the scenes and before and possibly after the game?

You don't have to extend the area, which is a designated family area, which presumably costs the club additional money to organise; you just extend the pricing model.

It seems pretty obvious that the offering is a great success, with it being sold out. Why would you not try a version of it elsewhere?

The fact is that if you have kids starting at say 7 years old in GFRZ, all things being considered there's a 10 years or so waiting list to get in there. The safe family zone line is a silly argument unless you think it's not safe for kids in other areas of the ground.

fair enough, my own fault for trying to bring an and to racism, homophobia and sexism whilst bringing in a few extra million of revenue.. before mentioning about painting lines on the concourse floor so I can get a pint at half time a little quicker!

looks like i'm gonna have to resort to calling for an imaginary child called colin who just happens to get lost in the middle of the bar..

COLIN!.. COLIN!.. COLIN!!
