Would the allocations not be sorted around the same time?
What I mean is that Boro would be looking for as many seats as possible at SOL so they are not going to cut the Sunderland allocation down just to get our own back. Not if it rebounded on our travelling fans and our own supporters would end up missing out again.
I personally get the impression if Sunderland were still to visit the Riverside in the League this season that we would not be anything like as generous this time around.

Fan zone is good , but in poor weather it is too cold and wet , why can the club not buy the Marquee used for the beer festival and put it up in winter , or better still create a covered area with heaters . Even something similar to the blue bell pub acklam , where they have a big cover over the outside area .
People will come to something decent , it is a long walk from the town so open the concourses earlier , sell cans instead of draft and poor them as and when to save time , and provide a better product .
Shirt supply is a missed opportunity, plan earlier , but get the choice right , whoever has been choosing the shirt is clueless. So many poor offerings over the years , green shirts the main problem , sales must be rock bottom on all versions over the years , but someone still insists in a green shirt ! RED AND WHITE / BLUE AND BLACK / PLAIN WHITE .
End of rant . UTB
They have been looking at ways to cover the fanzone - I heard it mentioned in a recent talk to the Supporters Club. They were definitely investigating different options.

Rob this is once again the club talking a good game whilst doing nothing, Sunderland shafting us has been happening for years - we do nothing in response, when pushed we tell the fan forum we're "livid", job done as far as MFC are concerned.
Am saying to you - that the club are unlikely to comment until after Sunderland are out of the play offs.
I know that they have really annoyed clubs around the Championship by not giving them the tickets they had apparently indicated they would at the start of the season. Lots of ill will towards them from other clubs. I could well imagine that Sunderland fans might feel a backlash next season with reduced allocations at other clubs.

So they were totally taken by surprise this season by Sunderland shafting us and they have no form for doing so whatsoever?

I understand why *now* they'd rather keep their powder dry, but they had an opportunity earlier in the season to do something about it and once again did nothing. MFC's form on this matter very much reads like they want the money from the Sunderland fans visiting the Riverside but don't care about engaging or protecting their own fans' interests for the away fixture - it's not a one off at all.

I really hope at least some of the points from this thread are brought up at the forum and in particular the ridiculous situation with the GRFZ - either expand it or let people continue to sit where they always have but make use of the free U11 ST offer.

As I said before, my boy couldn't get a shirt from the club shop for Christmas and he can't take up their U11 ST offer either - if the club lose him as a fan then he's likely lost for ever. I also find it interesting the club shop cannot get stock of shirts when they're charging £50 a shirt for an adult and £42 for a child but the cheap Chinese knock off sites can get you an entire kit for £12 within a few weeks - something has once again gone very badly with Errea and stock levels and to blame it on Covid is like the Sunderland ticketing situation - forgets the form of the company involved - it was regularly a nightmare to get a Boro shirt the last time Errea produced them. It's not a good start to our return with Errea.

Sunderland shafted a lot of teams this season away ticketing wise. This regime was new to the Championship and the way they acted caught everyone out. Clubs indicate at the start of the season how many tickets they will offer. Sunderland went back on their offer for some of their visiting clubs. This was after they had been to Middlesbrough and other away grounds. That is what I believe took place.

1. A more robust analysis and response of the answers given by the club to the ticket increase.
2. What the club are doing to attract non-season ticket holders because as it stands there is no incentive. This includes Boro Pride memberships and most importantly ticket prices.
3. What the club are doing to improve their commercial revenues.

1. Why do we allocate Sunderland so many tickets when they shaft us season after season?

2. Why has the club shop been sold out of replica kit for months now and what will be done to stop this happening again?

3. When will the club stop just talking about a membership scheme for people who aren't ST-holders and actually implement something? (It's been under review for years now).

4. Now that the concourse have a decent amount of staff when will we see an impact on queuing and wait times? (Is it just me or do their taps pour really slowly?)

5. Why can't the incentives for youngsters to take up a ST with their Dad, Uncle etc etc be extended to any part of the ground or at least extend the area it's available for so that existing ST holders can start taking their children (it's a closed shop currently with no availability and even a waiting list but that's an artificial waiting list as the ground doesn't sell out so why not offer it and get a new generation of fans hooked?)
I echo every single one of these points

My suspicion is that the problem isn't Errea's and it is the clubs. We've had this problem with all our kit makers so the common denominator is the club.

My guess is that the club only think about one aspect and that is margin. They get the biggest margin by bulk ordering so when bulk orders are unavailable we get nothing. If they considered volume they'd realise they could sell far more shirts for a lower margin and end up with higher total sales. They could have more frequent, smaller orders, pay a bit more per item and make that back and more by actually having the kit to sell.

Same goes for tickets.

I have passed on the link to this thread to the supporters club.
Above I have responded to many questions that have already been answered by the club at previous meetings. We might not like the answers but there were answers and so that is why I have mentioned them.
Am sure the questions can be asked again but are likely to get the same responses.

Kids shirts have Host and Stay on them, they are not allowed gambling sponsors. Am not sure what the cut off age is - would not over 16 be classed as adults?
They're sized based aren't they? Guessing it's about 12 and up when they stop fitting in kids sizes if it's the same as when I was growing up.

Gambling is for over 18s but try buying a shirt for a 15 or 16 year old..

kids from 11 to 12 start needing adults sizes.

Try going into a bookies with an 11 year old, a 14 year old, a 16 year old and a 17 year old.. encourage all of them to gamble and then tell a police officer what you are up to.. see what happens!

Why can`t you buy new ST in blocks 56 and 57 but can buy walk-ups?

Probably a simple answer but thought I`d ask the question
