Sunderland

That forum is like our version of comeonboro, some very strange people on there.
Shame their only cup win couldn’t have been seen by the fans, know quite a few people that have followed them everywhere with zero success for years. They look like they might be going in the right direction after years of mismanagement. Championship will be interesting next year

Salford and Sunderland. The sponsors probably saved money by buying two pizzas for the price of one.

Hope they get stuffed 5 nil, cannot stand the gobshites. Absolutely despicable fans who look down at boro even though in reality we're fairly similar clubs. All the paedophile chants etc If anyone said that to my face I would give them a slap. That's not banter its sick
I work with Mackems and they are always calling us Fiddlesbrough and Nappy Rippers. Oh hum

I'm glad Grant was on the winning side and hope he enjoyed his day. For me that outweighs any rivalry or bad feeling that I might have towards some sections of their support.

Congratulations to Grant and Charlie Wyke!

Oh and to Salford City for holding the trophy for 24 hours!!!!!
It is a pity Portsmouth didn't win the day before then they would hold the record for longest and shortest hold on a trophy still played for.

Longest continous holding of FA Cup (about 7 years)

It would have appealed to a statto like me anyway.

They havent won much in all the years after this conversation either (sorry couldnt resist)

The majority of the comments on their board are actually decent enough and they do see us as rivals, albeit not as big as the rivalry with Newcastle (which is understandable).

Newcastle and Sunderland are ten miles apart and have an age old major rivalry. It is understandable that their feelings about us don't compare.
But they are twenty six miles up the road, much nearer than Newcastle to us, so we naturally see them as rivals. Anybody who has been to a fixture at joker or sos will know they really don't like us.
And I like that.
