Yeah I booked my train for boro playoff final 2 months ago as was £35 quid return however that's just a waste now

Train prices in Britain are horrendous, yes some good deals can be had but most of the time it’s far cheaper for a family to travel by car than rail, it shouldn’t be like that. When I went to Austria just before covid I got on a train from salzburg to Vienna didn’t pre book and it cost me €22. A similar journey here would cost 4 times that.
