Sunderland away

If you've got tickets and are taking your grandson then the club coaches are the best bet.

Took my daughter on the coach when we were last there and it's the safest and easiest way by far
 
I dont think we get 2750 or 2500 or 2200, a couple of clubs who SAFC say caused trouble on previous visits got limited to 1900, Pompey and Coventry I think we go the same way.

But weren't they both throwing missiles at the fans below?
Don't think Boro fans have done much wrong in recent years?
 
I have read their forum for the last few years , not registered, and they say we are one of the worst for coins and the occasional flare's, so that could count against us, + when we played them this year it seemed both sets of fans were lobbing stuff at each other.

The only flares I can remember at Sunderland were the ones worn by Erimus!
 
They’ve always given us terrible allocations even with completely OTT policing and claim it’s for “our own safety”. b***ks, mackems are the biggest pack of shithouses going.
 
Was always hesitant Sunderland away , I heard it could get very ropey up there .

Mind you I’m basing it off what my dad used to say as I haven’t done Sunderland away myself . Roker was apparently horrible

Roker park in the old days was rough, especially pre proper segregation.
The only problem I've experienced at the SOL is being kettled by the police at the end.
Not much fun when your trying to slip off to the metro. Has been ok more recently.
Don't anticipate any bother in January.

There was the seaaon when they wouldnt even let boro fans go to the toilet and we had to stay in our seats for 1/2 hour it just got ridiculous going there.

Then we got the NUFC treatment with the temporary wall for segregation outside the ground, then we all got frogmarched/hemmed in round the sheepfolds towards st peters metro station whether we liked it or not or if we'd come by car and didnt need escorting back to the city centre in the opposite direction to southwick where we'd parked the car!

Yep in 2008.

We drove and were ushered towards the station, I was threatened with arrest for pointing out I was being taken in the complete opposite direction as to where I needed to go.

I was lucky though, others got a police baton across the face.

What little respect I had for the police went that day.
