Sunderland are gonna make the playoffs..

Gonna be:

Watford
Norwich
Blackburn
Coventry

With Watford winning them obviously.

At least that was what a CV enthusiast/ footballing genius confidently predicted in December 😂
Stop it with the CV gags, they kill me. And I don’t even know why. I’m just looking forward to the day someone makes his CV on word and shares it for us all to see

I did have you in mind when I wrote it 😃

Gyokeres is probably the best player in the league for me but it's marginal because there are some other good players. He could play the 9 ahead of Akpom in the 10. Archer is just as good, especially in our system, so it's not like there would be a big improvement. I think we probably have more chance of signing Gyokeres for next season though as he's not with a PL team. Especially if they don't even make the playoffs this season.
I'd say Gyokeres is potentially the best longer term, this season it's Akpom though.

I would say boro and luton have been
consistently better over the season however i think the teams vying for 6 west brom coventry and Sunderland are far more dangerous play off oppenents than the rest we've been well beaten by all 3 away from home. Therefore my logic is we aim to finish 4th and play millwall or blackburn and hopefully luton who i fancy we could beat on the big Wembley pitch. I think the mackems have blown their chance of 6th as well

Yep.

And that's how I think they'll finish.

3rd Boro
4th Luton
5th Millwall
6th West Brom.

West Brom are the last team I want to face in the PO's too as they have some good players - who have underperformed this season - who could (and probably will) step up and cause us problems.

The rest of the teams in and around the play offs don't worry me at all.
After the weekend's results I've changed my prediction again (for the 100th time) and I think it'll be:

3rd Boro
4th Luton
5th Coventry
6th Sunderland

Millwall have certainly choked, it appears. Back to back losses against Birmingham at home and Wigan away. They now face Blackpool away and Blackburn at home.

West Brom look all over the place and now have 3 tough fixtures - Sheff Utd (a), Norwich (h) and Swansea (a).

Coventry have a favourable home game to Birmingham and then us away.

Sunderland have the worst team in the form guide, Watford at home, then Preston away.

Blackburn's fixtures are terrible too. Burnley (h) - who will want to win to confirm the title in their rivals back yard, then Luton at home and Millwall away.

The results this midweek could be huge for Sunderland. If they're still 6th on Wednesday evening, then it's in their hands and have easier fixtures than their rivals.

good they are ***** and bogged with injuries, more teams like that hopefully we have to play

Plus they have Mogga in charge/

In a final I'd be a bit more worried, but over 2 legs and the fact a lot of their first 11 are crocked for the season, then I'd be extremely disappointed if we didn't put them away over two legs.

I think they’ll bottle it
They're unbeaten in 6 or 7 now?

It would be hilarious if they did bottle it with 2 games to go, mind.

Blackburn play.. Burnley
then Luton
then Millwall
Six points max (not even)

West Brom play.. Sheffield United
then Norwich
then Swansea
Six points max (two tough games)

Milwall play Blackpool
then Blackburn
6 points max

Coventry play Birmingham
then BORO
3 points max

Sunderland face Wilder’s Watford and then the big game away at Preston.. final game.

Exciting times!!!

Looking at the fixtures i think Sunderland will make it along with Coventry.

I think id rather play Sunderland in the semi's over two legs. a draw up there and a big performance at home.

i was more worried about Norwich, Watford and West Brom given their experience of promotion in recent seasons but all three are pretty much out of it, except West Brom of course.

I’d like us to play Sunderland in the playoff semis.. it will be humbling.

We’ve done great this season, but so have they AND they beat us at their place.

Winner plays Luton?
