Hong Kong residents can apply from Sunday for a new visa giving them the chance to become British citizens following China's crackdown in the former colony, but Beijing said it will no longer recognise the special British passport already in use.

Since when did I use the word terrify. You just keep using ridiculous melodramatic language. The thing that annoys me most about the small boat invasion Is that it is costing the UK taxpayers £2.5billion a year. I’m not terrified at all, I’m annoyed that the UK Government will not get a grip on this massive problem. The £2.5 billion could be spent on trying to improve the lives of ordinary British citizens.

So your main gripe is that we don't process them quickly so that the majority can quickly become grateful, contributing members of society filling labour shortages in all sorts of sectors around the country, while the minority can be quickly sent back?

It isn't an invasion. But we all know why you are calling it so. Is that why you are afraid? You think it is an actual invasion?

What are you afraid of? The Government wasting money? If so where was your outrage when we were spaffing billions up the wall on test and trace? Wasted PPE? Our EU divorce bill? Etc etc?

I never seen your anger on the 37 billion test and trace or the unused PPE the same way you demonstrate the way taxpayers money being used on migrants

You really are focussing your energy in the wrong place if you think this is where we should be diverting funds from

I am very angry at the £400 Billion splurged on a panic response to Covid. We are now having to pay the bill.

Only genuine asylum seekers need to be processed as quickly as possible. The Albanian wasters need to be sent straight back. This is what happens in Sweden.

Ignoring that approx 1/3 of that number that was wasted by the Conservatives, you think letting the pandemic burn through the population at a time when there were no vaccines and no proven treatments would have been better for the economy?
 
Anyone fetching up on a dinghy in Kent is an illegal. They have not followed the proper process in claiming asylum. A very large proportion of these illegals happen to be Albanian men. The last time I looked Albania was deemed a safe country
,so their claim for asylum is spurious at the least. You seem perfectly happy to allow this to go on. Are you advocating that every illegal coming ashore courtesy of the vile people traffickers ( who have paid upwards of £3000 per head) should be allowed to stay? Are you advocating that we simply open our borders to everyone who turns up? It’s a simple enough question.

Much better to do what the Swedes did. Shield the vulnerable, social distancing and get on with NOT wrecking the economy,children’s education, and storing up a health care crisis that will take decades to fix.

The first sentence is incorrect: it contravenes article 14 of the UN Universal declaration on human rights. So your post hasn't started well.

I suspect the second and third sentences to be a lie too.
