Suella Braverman and a holocaust survivor

She explained that her family had gone through the same as this lady, how should she have replied to the question?

Everything that people say can be cherry picked to fit their agenda though cant it?
 
When she makes the comment "I’m just being honest,” if she was really being honest with herself she would probably have to admit that she is actually cruel and heartless but has found a plausible rationalization to make herself feel okay about it. She uses the word honest to suit her own narrative let's be honest about the poverty her cabal have made our country ,let's be honest about fragmented and divided our country has become,let's be honest that isn't due to a few desperate souls clinging to a dinge.
Her honesty is worthless, it is only used as a vehicle to abuse others.

Stocko, only the most rabid right wing tories want to associate themselves with Braverman - don't be one of those people. All the decent tories I know abandoned this shower quite a while ago and certainly wouldn't be defending things like this.

Dreadful people. Gosport (next town) not much better, but they ousted the tory council last lot of elections.

Cheers for the heads up, I just listened to the video and replied that the UK could be being exploited by some entering our shores, I don’t know who she is and not really interested, im off to reply to one of the footy threads 👍🏻

The overwhelmingly striking thing from that video is the absolute lack of humility and empathy for the lady's story, which quite frankly must have been horrific.

Rather she just turns into a party political broadcast.

The Tories are playing to their hard-core, it's just propaganda now with no real substance or solutions behind it.

You cant "cherry-pick" 6 million Jews murdered on an industrial scale - alongside homosexuals, people with learning difficulties, dissenters, "experiments" on live babies and adults, torture, sexual slavery and rape. 11 million others were also murdered by the Nazi`s, leaving millions displaced and whole families anihilated.

Braverman is a vile individual who represents how far right our politics have become over the last 40 years. Her "words" lead to violence and harm to innocent people.

I once conducted an interview with a Polish Jewish lady, who was one of the few survivors of Treblinka Extermination Camp. She will be long gone, but she told in graphic detail of her real life experience of genocide: watching the corpses coming out and being piled into pits where they were then set on fire. Babies, old and young, the disabled, men, women. Some completely naked.
Some unable to walk. The Nazis still beat them and made fun of these dying people.
Deprived of dignity - the lady I listened to was understandibly in tears.
Still living the horrors, many decades later.

Braverman? Compared to that Polish lady - she is a louse.
 
Cruella is an awful politician and seemingly ruthless bitch.

People should start realising that the Tories are trying to divert attention to very poor people arriving in England, as it means they might get away with their shocking record in government for the last 13 years.

It's worth trying to see the bigger picture regarding boats crossing the channel too. It's been ongoing for years and is a direct consequence of British imperialism. Most of the people risking their lives in tiny boats are doing so as they have some type of connection with Britain. That's either through language, family or the British Empire. It's not as simple as saying they should just stay in France.
 
It was telling that she never used the same words in her response but chose to emphasise ‘the problem’.
Its politics - she has been told not to step out of line but won’t apologise.

In a normal world
