It's a commonly known scam car park for rydal caves/Water

A lot of reviews on Tripadvisor for rydal caves etc warn against using the car park. Most machines don't work and haven't for years and anpr clocks you as soon as you enter so the time in the ticket is wrong it's the time you entered the car park, plus its £5 for 2 hours

Cheers I always park in the village anyway and that’s fine, think it was £6.50 for five hours - expensive but ok. The lake was like Costa del Grassmere today with sunbathers swimmers and all sorts.
