Stone Wall Penna..

The ref bottled it recently when he should have booked the Barnsley player when he cheated & dived in the box against us then booked a number of Boro players when he was wrong, incompetent refs & cheating players, the game is ruined
I agree. but in spite of poor refereeing which allow cheats to thrive we are being entertained by Boro in a masochistic way!

Never going to happen. How many games ban is it for a red card? Wasn't there a move to card players for diving, seems to me refs need to be reminded of that.

I really do not see why, you can be banned for much longer now, up to 12 matches for racism I think as an example. Insulting someone based on being, Welsh, Irish, English or Scottish is rightly now an offence too punishable with a ban. Extending bans for cheating is really not a huge step to take if the will was there.

He went down easily, but these are given nine times out of 10!

My heart stayed in my mouth for a good two minutes after it wasn't given, and I was on tenterhooks for the rest of the game waiting for the ref make a 'leveller' decision in the box.
OK just watched it, wasn't even a foul. shoulder to shoulder, then their guy goes down like a sniper took him out and was calling for the pen on the way down. chucked himself to the floor there. I thought it was gonna be a pen at the time, but on replay, simply no way that was a pen.

Watching in real time it was very tense. The ref wasn't in the picture so it was 'a lifetime' finding out he didn't give it.

I thought the ref was just ok and let a 'lot' go from both teams tbf. I did think he should of booked Moore for repeated offences ie raising his hands and shoving players away when things went against him.

Think the push on saville earlier was worse and that wasnt given. He was consistant. No penna

Just watched the highlights, don't think it's a penalty for me. Seen them given but it would be a very soft one to give. Any player in that position would be looking to go down at the slightest bit of contact.

And that's whats wrong with the modern game. Players are too willing to cheat.

If a player chooses to go down rather than the contact forcing them down then they have dived and should be sent off for cheating.

It shows how hard it can be for refs, as per my opening post, in real time I thought absolute nailed on penna, although watching it again it wasn’t...well say wasn’t, looking at some of the penalties given recently I.e Palace v Brighton on Saturday, sometimes any touch on an opposing playing gets punished.
