Steve Cooper reported to be under pressure at Nottingham Forest

They have spent a ridiculous amount of money on some very questionable signings.

Problem they had was half of their team that got them promoted last year were only there on loan.

They currently don't score enough and concede far too many. Relegation fodder.

He wil probably be gone by the end of October if they keep losing - looks like two recent home defeats to relegation rivals as well.

Football is a tough game.

Premier League is brutal as we found out. The gap is widening all the time.

The amount of spending and recruitment they have done, I can't see how that spells anything but disaster ... why disrupt a successful, promoted side so much??? I find it absolutely baffling ...

I think they'll definitely pay for that and go down. It just seems like complete overkill and I could've sworn I have never seen anything like that from a promoted side, or any for that matter in a Summer window. Can't think of a word for it other than dumb at the minute. Obviously a good few quality additions but signing that many players at once ... Good grief! Seems like a scatter-brained approach and I would be surprised a coach the quality of Cooper was behind all of that.

Perhaps they'll stay up and I am wrong, no doubt plenty of quality in depth but seriously?? 20 odd signings were it?? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

And can't believe I am saying it but if Cooper is fired and we had a chance I would take him in a heartbeat over CW right now. Though really, the serious massive hole in midfield in terms of quality and a quality 2nd forward not being here, I am not sure what else he could do even in the event we could attract him .. which we would have no chance haha

Anything less than a win tomorrow then it's going to get ugly for us. And even then we're still going to be rooted in the bottom four possibly depending on other results going into the break.

I don't think CW believes in these players, they know it, and equally many of them feel the same way about him. Though it is not his fault he has not been given the quality he clearly expected when he signed here. His statement post-match Tuesday was clearly aiming a dig at recruitment and the fans reaction after the game and I read it as 'I was given promises, let down and you're all expecting too much with what I have been given ... though he was right about how long we have been out the PL bar the AK season'

We are really, a mid-table Championship club and that is it. But that wasn't Wilder's statement when he come in and spoke of his big mid-to-long-term plan.

But anyway. if Cooper becomes available, we lose tomorrow and he is crazy enough to sign for us, I am all for it :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I personally really like Wilder as a bloke (obviously how he comes across, I don't know him although I did meet him at Rockliffe and he was sound with me and my Mrs, had loads of time for us). I enjoy listening to him generally.

What I don't like at the minute are the results and a larger than acceptable majority of the performances. That's why he's under pressure, nothing to do with him as a fella.

Well as long as he was OK with you and your Mrs that's enough for me to build the clubs platform on....ffs....
What on earth has that got to do with mfc....

Cooper’s not getting the same favours with the PL referees.
Forest to be relegated along with Bournemouth and Leicester.

They are an absolute shambles.

Defensively they on their way to being one of the worst teams ever to grace the top flight, they are that bad from a defending point of view.

I would fancy any team in that division to put at least 2 past them each game.

Cooper needs to get out ASAP

:ROFLMAO:o_O WTF.. read the post man.

I’m clearly emphasising the point that my issue with Wilder is on the pitch, the performances and the results and that alone.. not a personal dislike of him due to him apparently not seeming to want to form a bond with the fans or a dislike of his persona/attitude when speaking in public, as many suggest is true.

Maybe because 4 of their best players last season instrumental in their success were on loan? Maybe the owner read somewhere that you need to spend big to survive in the PL so just issued Cooper with a cheque and told him to get on with it.

Yet they put little effort in to bringing any of them back, despite them all being available.

- Zinkernagel is now owned by Olympiacos, a club they share an owner with, so they clearly could have kept him.

- James Garner wanted to rejoin Forest, but is now at Everton as they weren't prepared to wait to sign him.

- Keinan Davis is back in the Championship.

- Max Lowe is still in the Championship and they didn't put much effort in to bringing him back.

- Spence is the only one you could argue that they didn't have a chance with bringing back, as I presume they threw the towel in when he made his intent to join Spurs clear.

Ive just had a browse of their message board and refreshingly there are very few calls for Cooper to go - but then I am reminded about their owner.

Mate I'm going to offer apologies .. i was hammered yesterday😄 and feeling peeved with wilder... your post is totally justified and I'm sure he's a nice bloke...ita just not working out for him or us....

Self proclaimed “classy guy”

And the fact his dad will have mentored a lot of todays refs (well, in my mind at least) has got him a lot of favourable decisions. Those ridiculous decisions in the Warnock game for instance
