I'm in London with Son and grandson , heading to Wembley tomorrow .
Spennymoor are massive underdogs , playing Aldershot , former league team and in the 5th tier National League .
Fans outnumbered but Moors will give it a go .

Well beaten on the end. Had Ramshaw put that excellent chance away in the first half away it may have been a different outcome.

Tommy Widdrington's mam lives not far from me, she'll be delighted.

I was at Wembley .
Had a great weekend but not the result we wanted . Thought Moors did ok first half .
Crumbled after the early second half goal and I think Wembley pitch and the heat took it out of our players , especially the senior guys .
Met Yusuf in the stadium .
Great catching up with a fellow South Stander .
Nice to see him supporting non league finals day as a neutral .

The biggest aggregate gate for a cup final in this country (I believe it still stands) was between Bishop Auckland and Crook Town in 1953-54, 100,000 at Wembley, replay at St.James with 60,000+ and 2nd replay at Ayresome with 40,000+.

Two 2-2 draws followed by a Crook 1-0 win.

It's amazing how many Amateur Cup winners came from the north east region, including the Boro of course, we won the second one to be held.

Very true, and the attendance yesterday was for 2 matches with the FA Vase held earlier. Spennymoor won the Vase in 2013.
