Some nutters on LinkedIn

Rishi Sunak posted on LI under the Office of Prime Minister account. A 'mental health advocate (homemade jewellery, hippy chain smoking professional)'. Her words, not mine, started accusing everyone who wasn't sucking at Rishi's teat of being a racist and that we should accept an Indian being in charge because of what the British did in India.

Upon immediately getting called out on that, person then resorts to personal insults. When responded to with, thats not very nice for an advocate of mental health to say, then deletes the comments from her post making her look bad and blocks any further comment on her post to ensure she comes out in a good light.

All in the space of about 10 minutes.

Honestly beggars belief sometimes how people behave online.

Nutters right across social media in all formats.
People who 20 years ago would have resorted to howl at the moon now get to become President of the USA and Prime Minister.

But on a serious note it can seriously affect people's mental health...... even somewhere as innocuous as this place has had it's moments!

Oh it absolutely can. Which is why I was surprised she started on the insults straight away, when she claims to be an advocate for mental health transformation. People can be weird. She called me right wing as well which was hilarious. Anyone who knows me would have laughed her out the room.

Linked in is awful
It is but for niche work it's useful

I've had a few lucrative advisory gigs out of it where for a few emails and the odd presentation I've made a lot of money which wouldn't have happened had the client not searched linkedin.
And tbf I've had quite a few Contract offers through it albeit most of them either shyte or ambulances chasers or both!

Being pedantic - does it really beggar belief how some people behave on line?
How long have you been oh FMTTM 😂😂

An outspoken female activist from Black Lives Matter was shot and injured in a drive by shooting during a party in London. She had been standing outside minding her own business and a gang drove by, in the usual gangsta BMW, and fired indiscriminately.

I was on LinkedIn. A woman started putting comments on saying stuff like 'In my thoughts, the racist police will have to answer one day for their behaviours, we have to stay strong' etc etc. Thankfully, people responded by saying it had nothing to do with the police. In fact it was a black gang firing because they assumed those at the party were affiliated with a neighbouring gang.

Talk about jumping to the wrong conclusion.

LinkedIn serves a purpose but far too many people now using it like facebook, or doing the "So I just interviewed a candidate..." stories which are copied and pasted from elsewhere yet end up with 10,000 replies of people patting them on the back for the #thathappened story.

That drives me nuts.

Ha, she's now claiming that she is unusual and doesn't follow the white man etiquette, whatever that is.

This champion on LI then commented to her

'What, you be whiter than Casper the Ghost'.

No, it's lazy business people who can't be bothered with research, and simpletons wanting a little spotlight.

I'm on an indefinite break from LinkedIn. It's getting far too FB/twitter lite with people "look at me" and posting political/personal sh*t completely irrelevant to what the platform is intended for.

That and being stalked by agents "hi, I've just seen your profile/CV and have a great opportunity. Give me a call........no. F*ck off.

🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
