So where is Priti Patel?

No she shouldn’t be anywhere near an MPs job, or no you won’t answer the question?
Wee gord you have your mind made up about her - nothing I would say will change your mind - so no I won’t reply - I could write a reply taller than the ones that American Mary churns out and it wouldn’t make a shred of difference! You have your views and I have mine.

I have some issues with this. The first being that Belgium have one of the worst deaths per capita ratios in the world, word even than ours.

Secondly it's very western/English speaking centric.

Tsai ing wen should definitely replace Belgium here.

The head of state of South Korea is a lady called Park Geun-Hye.

I'd put her at the top of the list.

Also the female leaders of Kosova, Lithuania and Croatia are in the top countries managing the crisis.

So a complete cop out then, a typical blue is great, red is bad approach.

Your defence of Priti Patel and all things Tory despite the mountain of incompetence is shameful.

If you’re going to make an argument back it up, or at least have the decency to try, instead of saying your piece but then not having the decency to engage when people pull you up on what you say.

Absolutely spineless.

wee gord again I’ve never said blue is great red is bad approach - I’m sure there are good and bad on both sides- my point which many keep twisting is that Patel is just the latest on a long line to be pilloried on here and by the media.

it’s wrapped up in “where is she ?” - why hasn’t she spoken but as you yourself have stated you have alreadymade up your mind it doesn’t matter. If she does show her face she will just be criticised, she’s already guilty in your mind and many others.

I don’t claim to know the details of the politics but as an observer I can see like Boris, Cummins before her she is just the latest hate target - that is all I am saying.

As an 'observer' did you ever see Corbyn, Abbott, Long-Bailey, Thornberry, Nandy, Cooper, Rayner et al as hate targets or where you doing a Wenger at the time?

The irony is astonishing. You spent years hammering Corbyn, Abbott and all things Labour and yet now it’s the Tories getting pelters because almost 1,000 people per day are dying you are trying to brush it off as just a typical media agenda.

That’s the point I’m making; you’re happy as long as it’s Labour getting shot down in flames but when the Government you seem to support preside over astonishing failures leading to thousand of death you put your fingers in your ears.

Hardly covering yourself if glory here.

A Wenger haha good one - Corbyn definitely agree with you there. I think some of abbots high profile gaffs were pretty indefensible - I think that boiled down to competence on her part and lack of it as to why the media had a field day with her.

its an interesting point the deaths the gvt have caused - I have been very clear on here before that I believe to be a relative measure which you can only analyse once this is over. As I mentioned before as things stand I believe Germany are doing very well and the US very bad, we won’t be the worst and we won’t be the most successfulI’m sure. I don’t really think you can lay the deaths at the governments door - all countries have this problem and all gvts are tackling this as they see fit, regardless there are still many deaths.

You can't lay any of the deaths at the Governments door? Are you out of your mind FatCat? The succession of failures is directly responsible for a much higher level of deaths that needed to be the case. They haven't provided PPE for frontline staff, resulting in the deaths of numerous doctors and nurses. They haven't the required number of ventilators and they've got their strategy completely wrong in order to protect the economy above the lives of citizens.

The PR has been an absolute joke with deflection, lies and whataboutery instead of concise, clear guidance and telling the public the full picture. They care only with trying to minimise the damage to the Tory party and its donors and the longer this goes on, it will become more and more tranparent to even the most ardent Tory supporter. Your previous post shows you up for what you are - happy to have a pop at Corbyn and Abbott whenever you can and yet you have a blind willingness to support this Government despite its policies through this crisis causing thousands of unnecessary deaths. Quite frankly, its disgusting.

On most metrics we look like we are coming out of this as the second worse behind the United States, I and many others think that this isn’t good enough and are looking for reasons as to why this might be so.

There may be a whole load of mitigation’s and valid reasons as to why but ultimately for many people the buck stops with the Government and their actions, it’s far from a witch hunt based on political ideology but a genuine concern that we keep as many of our people safe.

It's disgusting that she's sorry people feel they've been let down. Where is the accountability, when does someone step up and say 'actually, this isn't good enough and hasn't been good enough'? Until they can acknowledge their failures they are allowing a growing resentment against the Tory party and its lack of leadership, even amongst a growing number of those who voted for them. They're becoming a bigger disgrace by the hour.

Respectfully AM, you are wasting your time with Fatcat. He is completely incapable of looking at anything subjectively or even just considering things that fall outside of his view of the world.
In fact, given his belief that the right wing media, such as the Express and Mail, have it in for the government, he’s surely got to be one of these wind up characters here purely to generate bites and traffic? Hence his remainders comment earlier.
