I've been faffing on utube all aftie listening to some of my faves etc. Anyhow, in them times you end up going down a rabbit hole turns out I'm quite the fan of Harry Styles and Billie Ellish...who'd have though at 49 I'd be down with the kids still 🤣🤣

You need to be doing it the other way around!

You need to get her into the cool 80s/90s stuff that you liked !!!

Sadly my mother was incredibly uncool and she only liked rubbish by the likes of Sir Clifford of Richard but she did buy Super Trouper when I was 10 which started my lifelong appreciation of ABBA…..

I'm trying lol. There's been a few tunes lately where I've been listening or singing it and she's asked how I know it. Turns out she's hearing a lot on tictok etc not realising they are golden oldies and not new stuff lmao

Our son was devastated when me and the wife turned up at the same gig as him, his mates thought we were cool as F***k. Now he wants my 45's box of punk and new wave.
 
Watched Ryan Gosling perform "I'm just Ken" at the Oscars too and am now obsessed with that song....I've never even seen the film!! 🤣🤣🤣

Again....not my type....u can have him...I really just enjoy the tunes....I'm very much a rigger boots, doesn't even take his own weight on his elbows kinda girl...can't be doing with men who will take longer to get ready on a night out than I do 🤣🤣🤣
 
Some of Harry Styles music is excellent. To the point I'm deliberating as to whether to add some to my covers list (and anyone that knows me will understand how big a deal that is!!).

I've also started listening to a lot more Taylor Swift after being bombarded with tracks I don't know at open-mics. I did follow her early career but then moved on to other things. Well worth a visit.
