Yeah, the problem with forecasts based on apps like the BBC, Met Office, Accu weather etc. is that the information they base it on is already 12 to 18 hours old by the time it’s published. The model runs are at the main hours of 00Z, 06Z, 12Z and 18Z. By the time all the observations have been collected and the data fed into the model, hence producing a weather chart, which is then analysed and prognosis’ produced, the next model run will be about due. It’s like a meteorological sausage factory.Been snowing solidly for 3 hours here on the south yorks/notts border. Just waiting for the inevitable calls from school to say they're shutting early
