Snow

Just left New Marske and the whole sky is grey and my Dad told me their snow clouds... It just spat rain all the way back to Boro. It's coming...
 
Hasn't stopped since early morning here in Sheff, bloody annoying as we're supposed to be heading north for the match tomorrow. Temp is better tomorrow so hopefully melts away
 
Been snowing solidly for 3 hours here on the south yorks/notts border. Just waiting for the inevitable calls from school to say they're shutting early 😂

BBC weather app still tells me it's only sleeting though and will be the rest of the day 😂

Yeah, the problem with forecasts based on apps like the BBC, Met Office, Accu weather etc. is that the information they base it on is already 12 to 18 hours old by the time it’s published. The model runs are at the main hours of 00Z, 06Z, 12Z and 18Z. By the time all the observations have been collected and the data fed into the model, hence producing a weather chart, which is then analysed and prognosis’ produced, the next model run will be about due. It’s like a meteorological sausage factory.
Happiness is a warm front 🤣
 
Flying back to Teesside Airport from Benidorm today. 10 days of glorious sunshine. Not one drop of rain. Not looking forward to the weather back home, by all accounts! :eek:

Just had the school call, I’m sure back in my day we’d have toughed it out😁
