Slow running account

My account has all of a sudden run really slow. I have seen comments around this and it being some form of punishment.

Forgive if I am wrong but I have not posted anything wrong. In fact the last thing I did was flag up some dodgy adverts. Maybe I shouldn't have if this is what happens

Only been posting a couple weeks after waiting months. Any clarity would be nice
 
He means the famous underhand trick that the admins previously denied existed but obviously does, slowing people’s accounts down when they’ve been naughty (or what they deem to be naughty).

Cooper cried about it every day
 
Yeah, I've had this issue for about 6 months now. Initially thought I'd inadvertently ticked some box in user settings, but reading other complaints, appears it's a deliberate function used by admin.
 
Can't see what on earth i have posted to be even deemed naughty.

Already had to give out additional social media to join as a female as too many people try to pretend to be women. So this is taking the biscuit in my eyes

Have you tried it on an alternative device to see how that goes?

Maybe contact admin direct via the envelope icon and ask them if they can shed any light on if there are any settings in the background causing the problem. I haven’t noticed you post anything particularly controversial. Hope you get sorted soon 👍
 
Yep, you are on a temporary go slow as your ad post was reported to us as suspicious and we wanted to look into it further. I will return you to normal and send you a pm.

You misunderstood. And please don't get into discussions about the admin of the site on here. Just be grateful that some people take the time out of their day to do that particular chore.
 
Thank you for your msg and lifting restriction. The ads I reported have clearly been reported by others now. I won't bother again. The thanks you get

IM really upset about this... thought as a female poster id flag something and I'm asked to explain and restricted.....
 
I'm sure your account wouldn't run slowly loading etc if you've been posting certain things or having disagreements on the board :ROFLMAO: Moderators etc on here have nothing to do with that at all. They can simply block or ban people etc but causing someone's account to run slowly as punishment would be the first I've heard! Haha

It could just be down to your internet speed and device .. though you mentioned dodgy adverts so makes me think there'll be other issues behind the reason.

Be careful with browser viruses, recommend having the appropriate antivirus in place to block such things as adware/spyware/malware or browser viruses which redirect your search through their own software leading to more rubbish clogging your browser up if you use it unnoticed.

With ads in general, whatever you see initially, reflects on your browsing habits in general and is not the responsibility of the owner/moderators on this board. For example, if you were googling insurance or stuff like property or job search websites, adverts would show links to such sites as you use boards such as this. It's how they work normally until you pick up something nasty that you need to remove, what you see can become quite unpleasant, but it has nothing to do with the folk who run this board with what content is shown in advertisements.

The ads can look more 'dodgy' in nature if you are using a browser harmed with such viruses as adware picked up from other sites.

Any advertising you see on a web page/msg board/anything such as this are just regular ones you would see anywhere else if you are using a healthy computer with no virus issues or viruses that have harmed your browsing software.

Give your computer a clean-up with whatever software you have installed. CC Cleaner is a free one that can be downloaded that can pick up stuff other free anti-virus software will miss if you are using those which are common on most home desktop/laptop computers. Once cleaned up it should pick up the PUP viruses etc that are commonly the issue, quarantine them and from then on just be careful with what sites you visit as you can pick up all sorts of rubbish these days even on websites that look seemingly friendly at first.

If I was visiting porn websites 24/7 I'm sure I'd see nothing on these message boards/newspaper sites etc but adverts packed with all kinds of minging images or foursomes, whatever, the lot but I make sure I have the right tools in place to keep my software safe :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

But yeah, I can assure you, your account surely isn't running slow as any kind of punishment!

EDIT* It was indeed running slow for that reason. Silly me, I thought a simple ban/posting hold etc would be used in event of a poster being reviewed. Going slowly I had certainly never heard of before or seen on a msg board!

Admin have already said they slowed account down further up. Its also a recognised naughty step according to posters and admim so not sure what you are going on about

Admin really slow the speed of posters accounts down??? That's odd, well, first I heard.

But no, rest of what I posted isn't a joke. It's really what can happen to a browser/causing slow loading etc and seeing certain kinds of ads etc can be a sign of viruses

It's just as I had not heard of accounts being running slowing as having to stand on 'naughty step' so thought otherwise and thought an anti-virus check may be in order (y)

Never mind. Appears not then. Was only a thought.

Move on and wait until yer off the step. Haha apologies for the mix-up
 
Mine was the same, I clearly wrote something deemed inappropriate. Might I suggest that posters are notified or warned prior to the “go slow” method?
