Sky games next season, 5 per weekend..

'Each League weekend fixture round will see 10 live EFL fixtures shown. Five matches will be shown from the Sky Bet Championship '.

Presumably spread across Friday to Monday.
That's almost every other game, home and away being shown.
That's going to cause problems in attending away games without taking time off work, booking overnight stays, particularly if you are reliant on trains.
Home games massively disrupted also.
Not great for those attending.

All true, but we've known this is coming for years.

I don't live in Teesside but it actually suits me for matches NOT to be at 3pm on a Saturday, at least not every week.

I'd actually quite like as much notice as possible for WHEN these 5 x non-3pm slots are. Is there any indication as yet? I know we could guess them.

Will there be any wildcard ones like Sunday nights, for example?

As in season tickets?
Yeah I think so. I think on the whole people much prefer 3pm Saturday kick offs rather than Friday/Monday night matches.

The likelihood is that we will have circa 7no 3pm Saturday home games next season with the remaining 16no being either midweek or moved for TV slots. That will impact a lot of peoples ability to attend the games.

They'll not be the same every week, unless they're just overlapping different competitions.
Premier League football and Scottish football will also be in the running order on plenty of days.

But we'll find out the schedule before the start of the season up until mid-January.

OK, but won't there be a limited number of 'windows'? Like they're not gonna have matches at 9am on a Thursday morning, are they? Or are they! :ROFLMAO:

Right now, they've got Championship games on Friday nights, Saturday midday, Saturday teatime, Saturday night, Sunday midday and Monday night.

So there's 6 slots they already use.
They could fit in more matches on Sundays when needed.
The Monday Night football one is the one I think will alternate the most as it's a regular Premier League slot.

Yeah, there'll be limited number of windows but we don't know what they are yet. I'm guessing we won't clash with the prime Sunday PL slots. My guess would be:

Slot 1. Friday evening
Slot 2. Saturday lunch Time
Slot 3. Saturday tea time
Slot 4. Sunday 12pm
Slot 5. Monday Evening

Plus there are lots of Tuesday/Wednesday night matches.

Indeed, but no one will be wanting to play Monday & then again on the Wednesday.

Aren't all Tue/Wed matches already televised?

Most of them, but quite often rearranged matches weren't.

Now all League Cup matches will be televised, as well as every single Championship match that isn't on a Saturday 3pm.

So what proportion of matches will be at Saturday 3pm in total? Around one third?
