I don't know why but the man makes my skin crawl. The only thing I can give him and his band kudos for is using Whitby as the setting for 1 of their videos

Wasn't he one of the audience at the famous Sex Pistols gig in Manchester that inspired loads of good bands to start up ? He obviously never got the idea

It was written by USA act The Valentine Brothers and recorded / released in the early 80's
This was the covered version & far more successful for Simply Red!

I don’t like them, but I think Holding Back The Years is a great song. Maybe because it was in a good scene on Only Fools And Horses that im fond of it though.

I pop in from time to time now but yes I was away for a while. Nice to see some of the old crowd still around. Happy memories of the charity football matches and the banter with Epiphany and pink ponce

He was in The Frantic Elevators before SR, which could been argued were influenced by that Pistols concert.

To me, the biggest issue with todays performance were his bootcut jeans and dad trainers combo - horrific.

He's kicked that with his right leg, swinging it left but it has somehow zinged into the top right corner at a seemingly impossible angle, some feat!

Fairground is up there with Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer as songs I truly truly hate and I have a very eclectic taste in music. Just awful.
