Simon Jordan just picked Chris wilder to bits

Quite apart from what he may be ranting on about Wilder I detest Jordan and his love of his own voice. If it can take a minute to say he will take 5 minutes to say it. The off button is quickly engaged whenever he comes on. It's not as though he is the bastion of success in football administration.

Exactly, and if he'd have been saying these things a year ago this board would have been in meltdown about his comments.

I disagree - one of the things I like about jordan, is his ability to laugh at himself too. He is there to give opinions, and is very skilled at making his point.
You are at perfect liberty to disagree with my assessment although nothing I said was untrue- I think the guy is an A1 plank

I have an intense dislike for Jordan and evening with him and his partner would be my idea of absolute hell. However, as the old Danish proverb goes, “a broken clock is right twice a day”.

I read what Wilder said about Watford and, looking at it from the outside, what he said looks to be pretty on the money. Whether he should have said it as the manager so publicly is a different matter.

I thought what Conte said about Spurs was pretty much on the money too, but again maybe not for him to say at that time so publicly.

That said, Conte and Wilder can be on the money with their criticism of others, but that doesn't mean they aren't also dicks themselves.

It didn't work out for us. I am happy to move on. The bitterness toward ex managers is hard for me to understand. Apart from Strachan of course.
I agree about moving on, at the time Strachan & Wilder both seemed like brilliant appointments. Strachan simply didnt work out, he tried to manage us with the same approach, on & off the pitch as previously which the local media clearly didnt like! Wilder clearly thought he was bigger than the club & it was only going to end one way. The lower he falls while we climb higher, the better for me!

Not a fan of Jordan, or TalkSport for that matter but its very difficult to construct an argument against what he says.

Wilder is damaged goods and I'm glad he not in our club anyone.

"a structured evisceration of his playing staff"
Rather similar to his outburst after the final game of the season at Preston last year where he made threats against a player or players unknown. Plenty of Boro fans at the time thought it was some sort of statement of intent, personally I thought it had the prospect to be extremely damaging which I think it was as things turned out.
