Sickening off our best manager in years to buy Hoppe and Forss

How dare you disrespect Gibbo and the recruitment team! This is our new forward thinking era, they sign the players the coach picks from what he’s given. Graciously aa Gibbo backs his managers. They have a track record of success so it’s clear why this is the strategy…Hoppe had a good shot v Millwall, Payero scored once and is going well at Boca….too many wins from the recruitment team to name. Get behind them!

The wheels had already fell off at the end of his time at Sheffield United. His upturn here was brief and happened when players came back from injury and fell apart when he started bringing in his own players.

Wilder's success came when he was an unknown quantity and went as soon as people worked him out. I don't see him succeeding in his next job and I'm glad we didn't throw everything we could behind him as we'd be in a much worse position long term if we did.
 
I like our own Russel Crowe - Mulignant - that midfielder bloke.
Give him 6-12 months to get fit and he'll smash it
 
Football always evolves. Once you’ve developed your system, that shocks the world, the world figures it out, pretty damn quickly.
Wilder’s system failed, at this level, as the squad he had weren’t capable of delivering it. Coaches quickly learn how to nullify “groundbreaking“ systems. He failed to continue success at Sheffield Utd, for the same reason.
Jack Charlton’s 4-2-4 was unplayable, until it became playable. Good managers adapt, and utilise what’s at their disposal. Wilder couldn’t. Goodbye
 
Wilder was basically working until something just went fundamentally wrong. I’m not sure what it was some say he had his head turned by a team that was relegated from the premier league.

Hopefully soon we will get his take on it.

The purchase of “development “ strikers this season didn’t result in the team falling away last season.

Impossible to tell if either Hoppe or Forrs are any good.

I’m sure the new manager will give everyone a clean slate.
 
Signing Forss and Hoppe haven’t made any difference as neither have played so I’m not sure what the point if this thread is.

We were after Strznd Larsen and a bunch of other strikers but didn’t land them

Wilder was sacked due to results, largely dictated by his slavish devotion to a system that Ray Charles could see wasn’t working, and his ego in thinking he could whore himself around any perceived ‘b***r club’ and still commend respect from the players

When he came I thought he would be a big step forward. Yes we should have bought another couple of midfielders but he also was not getting the best out of the players he had

He’s gone now so stop crying, put your big boy pants on and get behind your team

They’ve made a difference because that £6m should have been spent on players the manager actually wanted
 
We all know what the real problems are — midfield and it’s been the same issue now for 3 seasons. It’s clear of me CW wanted a replacement for Howson in the summer and didn’t get him.

I doubt very much the strikers weren’t his also as he would have played them. The fact that both Hoppe and Forss aren’t starting under Leo tells you everything you need to know how much he values them.

This club is being led by the lies in data and stupidity.
