Shops that don't exist anymore

I'm 70 next month, Lesley Browns was a Treasure Trove of Hornby OO and Scalextric. Their Bonfire nigh display could have taken Stockton High street off the map. My son in the 80 got his He' Man figures there after play school. Just loved the shop.
Spent hours in there while my dad was on the top floor going through the music section for opera records. Brilliant shop, I'd spend most of the time going through the Subbuteo teams 😁

Don't recognise this shop - where was it? I remember Chips being upstairs above a shop on Linthorpe Rd in the late 80s. My Grandma worked in a bridal wear shop on the corner of Linthorpe Rd and King Edward's Rd and Chips was opposite, so I used to go in to see her and then pop over the road to buy Amstrad and later Amiga games.

It moved onto Borough Road, id hazard a guess the photo is the stockton shop which was down one of the side streets towards the Riverside off the high street

No one remember The Games Store which was a couple of doors up towards Uptons on Linthorpe Road?

Billingham : Doggarts, Finlays, Kew House, Roys, Forbouys .

Stockton Chapmans Garage, Lengs, Wilson Barbers, Gunners Barbers, Levies Decorators, Army and Navy Stores, Duncans Menswear , Ray Allens Menswear, Peters Stores, United Bus ticket Shop,Turners Photography and Cinema, Masons Fruiterers, Roberts Wet Fish, Just Pants Plus, Marks and Sparks. Meridith the lite bite.

Simon's on Tollesby Rd. As close to Open All Hours as anything - with a touch of German Sausage...
