Sheffield United fan Craig Pawson ref tonight

I remember Stroud away to Brum in a 1-1, Bamford. He should have been investigated after that night.

I f**King love me Boro like.
But, are any of you paranoid (idiots) going to blame the referee l?

Up the Boro and Erimus 👍

Wasn’t a bad performance. Missed some blatant niggly fouls, but was wanting the game to flow. Agreed, it looks to have been a penna at first glance, but I think he called it right looking at the replays, Ramsey’s leg didn’t touch him, Laurent/Campbell (whoever it was) left his leg in, felt a bit of contact and went down looking for it.
he should’ve booked Pearson a lot sooner than he did to be fair.
Stoke came, were physical, but no booking for Howson, which is a relief.

Thought he could have given them a yellow sooner. That said he could well have given a pen for Ramsey's challenge. Wasn't it nice to be able to celebrate our goal without worrying whether it will be cancelled for the challenge on Pearson though.

I said the exact same thing to my two lads. Getting promoted would be amazing, but I'd immediately start fretting about putting up with VAR.

I thought he let too many fouls go and the yellows should have come sooner.

I like the attacking teams to be able to take free kicks quick, brought a few back.

Pulled us back when in a decent position for an offside against Stoke.

Frustrating evening.

Have to say I thought he was good for us, but still not a good choice for our match. I remember Jeff Winters being asked about reffing Boro and he said he thought he would be more harsh on us to try and appear impartial, same goes for this guy tonight, thought they should have had a definite pen, but waved play on, IMO he's in a no win situation because he knows his performance will be picked apart.

Missed what looked like a definite pen for them.

Have the rules changed re: players raising their hands to one another? I feel like years ago their player judo throwing Steffen from behind would have been a red.

Where do people get the definite pen from, the contact was initiated by the Stoke player. The rules were changed a few years back that clearly state if contact is initiated by the attacking player it’s a free kick to the defending team.

I thought he was decent to be fair, surprised he didn't give the pen so can't complain, still think it was a bad choice by the EFL had he made a bad decision against us.

Who was time wasting? Stoke were going for the first win, point pretty useless for them.
They took ages every time the keeper had the ball, kicking the ball away whenever there was a foul (which felt like every minute or so), constantly having a player go down when the ball broke our way.

Loads in the ground where moaning about it, just the general sh*thousery from away teams but ref didn't do anything to stop it.
