Season ticket prices 2024/25

Since our last promotion, our pricing policy has been built around retaining ST holders when times are not so good: stability, rather than boom and bust.

I think ST sales are likely to fall this year; we know there is some natural wastage every year through deaths and people moving away, and I don't think there's been much on the pitch to encourage new ST holders this year. Whether or not the policy is a success will be determined by how much it falls.

For the first time in decades, I'm entertaining the possibility of no renewing. A number of serious family health issues has limited my ability to attend this season, and living North of Newcastle, there have been times when I've attended midweek matches only because I've already got the ticket. However, I probably will renew, rather than just pay on a match by match basis, because of the pricing structure, and because once you're outside that ST bubble, it's expensive to get back in.
Good post - Remember new fans are born as well as die, people do move to the area and on Teesside people do come back who moved away solely for work. In relative terms its one of the cheaper areas of the UK to live, because of lower rents and lower property prices.

I think they'll be frozen. I can't imagine they increase for a third year in a row.

I think the deaths/moving away/simply choosing not to renew Vs people moving to the area/new ST/kids first ST figures will be quite similar. Can't see either side being drastically more than the other.

The club has to be clever with the PR, clever with the pricing structure in certain sections of the ground. Off the top of my head, they could:
1) Increase the GRFZ seating area?
2) Release more of the South Stand - limit the away end to 2000-3000 or something for league games, to allow for more home fans in there? Then for cup games where away fans are entitled to more i know there is an issue there, but other clubs get around this in some way so we should be able to figure it out.
3) Discount for blue light cards or military
4) Discount/Incentive if you were a previous ST holder since the RS opened or in the last 3-5 years to try and get them people back? Why did they give up their ST, can we get as many of them back as possible.
5) Maybe a 5-10% discount in club shop
6) Big Discount or incentives for NEW u16-u11 applicants with no history. IMO we should be allowing U11 in for next to nowt with paying adults. Get new fans on board, keep them away from supporting big clubs on TV and social media and get the fans of the future on board and then look after them.

They know a good percentage of ST holders will renew regardless of almost anything, if they want to get a few more people who are on the fence to dip in their pockets they need to think outside of the box.

I think looking at people who have had ST and had that commitment and been happy to shell out that cost in the past and now choose to go match by match instead need looking at and seeing if there is a way they can be brought back, but i don't see that happening what i think will happen is the same brackets and everything the same as this year, a total freeze and go again.

You don’t have to have alcohol as your free drink and there are people who don’t always redeem it. It would provide some appeasement to long term season ticket holders who don’t currently qualify.
I haven't claimed the free pint in years...
