Season Halfway Point - Nerdy Graph

We all like a nerdy graph. We are about to push through the 70 point barrier. The angle of incline has increased since wilder took over, that is starting to be noticeable. Our comparison with last season is interesting. At Christmas last year we were going pretty well and feel away from January. Hopefully we don't go down with the Xmas lights this year

I'm tempted to ditch the 50pt line and include an 80pt line but I know what will happen if I do!

Love a graph like me.

Our form has obviously picked up significantly in the 6 games since CW took over, plus we should have won the first two as well I think.

Whether we can keep this up, especially given the run of tough games coming up, remains to be seen though.

Even though we're behind last seasons points tally at this stage, I'm much more optimistic of a play off push than I was last year

Yes this time last year I think we were in a playoff position then our forms was.... Patchy after Christmas. I am sure erimus will be along in a minute to tell me we were 7th and 3 points of the playoffs. In any event or points haul seems to be going up under Wilder quicker than warnok. If that continues we will make the playoffs, of that I am sure.

I would also be a bit tempted not to add to the squad beyond maybe a striker and recalling spence. We seem to have a good team spirit, if like to keep that.

We need nearly 2 points a game for the play offs - say 76 points

2 points a game would be 79 points for us.

Under Wilder we have 11 points from 6 games.

Personally I would like to see:

2021/22 - Current
2020/21 - Neil Warnock's First season (10th) 64pts
2014–15 - Aitor Karanka's Play Offs (4th) 85pts
2018-19 - Tony Pulis - Pulisball (7th) 73pts

2017-18 - Gary Monk's League Smashing (5th) 76pts

Gives a much clearer picture of where we have been and where we need to be imo.

Then I'd like to the same but over the first 17 games of the season.. shows exactly how we've started and how much we need to make up.
Not only great visually but also good markers in comparison to how previous (recent) seasons have panned out and previous managers/squads capabilities.
