Its going to be around 29-30 if the TV People hold to the even exposure for each club.

Theres usually 13-14 midweek rounds, plus 13 normal weekends which will be supplemented by holiday games on TV. Today for example, next season all matches will be shown.

Well strictly speaking they can't afford to pay them any wages. I'm sure Gibson will have checked if that's allowed.
 
You are going to get to a point like in the PL and your next 4 fixtures are all on TV. Its not that crazy an idea. If Swansea was scheduled for TV under the new deal, that would be 4 matches shown in a row.

Fine, you have your season ticket; I'll sit at home or watch it in the pub/club. I get the argument about the dodgy boxes or streaming but those people are probably never turning up and anyway the clubs are facilitating more of that fan behaviour not less.

Therefore it makes the whole Comms around renewal all the more mindless.

I don't doubt that they know it, as you say and I agree. They're just hoping fans don't realise it.

I don't think it has been wiped out. I think the income has stood up well against last season renewal.
And also speaking to people with experience of these situations yesterday the actual number of renewals should be expected to edge up slightly this week as errors and bank problems are ironed out following bank holiday.

I discussed this with the club a couple of months ago. I believe they feel that the fixtures being revealed in advance up to January will be significant.
I think we need to plan as much as possible in advance of the season. We can all maybe think about this; how do we make the most of guaranteed kick off times but off set less Saturday 3pms? How do we make every game an event?

Renewals have stood up well due to fan pressure? Extending the crazy early bird renewal date, finally giving some fans some breathing space with the 4 monthly payment scheme and freezing some young season ticket prices.

They are all really positive things, agreed. Just shows what we can do.
 
@fmttmadmin do you know when it will be possible to request a move? My son wants to move to the South Stand but it was sold out for early bird. Should I just email the ticket office?
 
Like everyone else, I'm far from happy with our season card prices. But as big a scandal is that new SC holders are denied the same 'early bird' prices as the rest of us - especially as they're also prepared to put their money forward four months in advance the new season starting.

1. The quality of football was drastically better last season than this… up there with the best football I’ve seen us play at the riverside. There was bound to be a high renewal rate on the back of the performances.

2. We were pretty much guaranteed a play off spot at renewal time last season, so there was a fairly decent chance your renewal could be for watching premier league football.


That’s before you even take into account the price increases. So I don’t think being down 10% on last year is too bad, all things considered.

If you ask at the ticket office they will show you availability of seats , including the 2,000 that have not renewed . I have moved from originally the north , to the south , again moved in the south and now SW upper . Easy process . My tip - row 14 is front row upper tier , best seats .

Being down 10 or 11% on last year is an absolute disaster. The club said increases were to cover rising costs, so by selling fewer tickets they’ve actually generated less revenue and have to find that money elsewhere. Or the chairman has to cover it.

They were trying to generate more money and they’ve made a complete mess of it.
 
Last year - 3rd in the table. Brilliant football - best in decades. Good chance of PL football next season.

This year - 10th in table. Pretty average football, especially at home (just 20 goals scored all season), no chance of play offs.




Of course there was going to be a drop off.
 
Please can we stop this sheer nonsense of only losing 2k SC holders.

We have 22k.
We now have 17k.
The club has failed to convince 5k SC holders to renew who had the opportunity at EB prices.

22.7% of SC holders have chosen not to renew.
I bet none of them will be in GRFZ, so in revenue terms the fall off will be even greater. The 5% price increase will offset very little of that loss.
Crackers to have let people walk away disgruntled.

I’m guessing that with this increasing worldwide TV exposure the number of BoroLive streams for us overseas subscribers will be correspondingly reduced.
