Scott Parker

Bit harsh seen as 3 of their first 4 league games were against Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal. Think their next 6 games are against teams around them at the foot. Would have got a better idea then where they stood.

Who‘d be a manager.

Why did he say?
“It doesn’t surprise me. This is currently where it is at this moment in time. The players need help. Today proved too big a challenge. The levels were far too big.

"At times we couldn’t bear it, the intensity. We’ve got a decision to make as a club. There will be days like this. Time will tell. It's a huge disappointment, a real humbling experience.

"I’m gutted for the players. It’s my job and it will be the defining of us as a group of how we bounce back from this.

"We have some days where hopefully we can get some help in and support and help the current team who came up from the Championship.

"There’s loads of work to be done. The experience today, you never want to be on the end of this. This is currently where are are. If this is the group we’re going with we’ll react and see where are."

I think the “it doesn’t surprise me” line is probably a bit *too* honest. Even though he’s probably correct in everything he said and knows without additions that team is coming straight back down.

Seems harsh the timing - a day before even the window has shut. I would have given him until at least the WC break to see the team bed in. That said they might have a ready made manager lined up who can't wait to jump into a Sandbanks gaffe.

Ye a manager who is frustrated being a bit too honest. He’s also not taking any personal responsibility on him and given the players an excuse to down tools. Not great them comments

Plenty of teams get overwhelmed by Liverpool not many capitulate
