I also remember going past a Jewish Synagogue on Park Road South on the way to Boro games - Has that gone?
I believe the synagogue building is still standing but it is now private housing. I think I read the number of attendees dropped and it was no longer viable as a place of worship. I am unsure of the date of its closing but a synagogue was first opened in Middlesbrough in 1874 (p.248, Briggs, A "Victorian Cities" (Pelican, 1968)
