Sarina Wiegman mens England manager

Explain how. It's exactly the same game. Same pitch, same ball, same goals. Not being funny but surely from a tactics point of view there is no difference?
Vast tactical difference when the players are completely different and the game is being played in a completely different way. How easy would it be to adapt to a way of playing the game you have never dealt with?

Main point is why would the FA even consider taking that risk, especially when top level proven managers are available who have worked in this type of environment with these type of players

Giving someone the top job in English mens football, with no experience of mens football is just setting them up to fail

It’s a completely different game, different level entirely & completely different intensity. It’s like asking a top non league manager to manage England it’s way too big a leap. That’s not misogyny it’s just a fact.

Same game but the variables are chalk and cheese.

The speed of the players. It’s much, much quicker to what she has managed.
The strength. Therefore different approaches to handling corners/set pieces. Even how you counter big strong centre forwards or centre backs.
The skill set of the male players is much, much higher. She has no experience of trying to overcome or counter that, or indeed using the skill sets available to her to her advantage.

Not all the variables are linked to male attributes being higher.
Play acting is much more rife. Something she’s not used to.
The big players also have huge egos. The top stars are franchises now.

There’s many other aspects of the male and female game that are different. Good and bad on both sides.

Someone posted earlier in the thread that she’s managed at the highest level. I strongly disagree with that. The highest level in women’s football is many rungs below the top in the men’s game. Tactics et al.

The biggest job we have isn't one we should be experimenting with. She might be great but there is no track record anywhere of it happening and it is too high profile a role to be testing it out on. If it has to be International then the U21s or a smaller nation with low expectations etc is probably a better proof of concept starting point.

I'm not a fan of foreign managers for International teams either.
Xenophobe 🙃

I disagree. The fact red road exists is an embarrassment to Tessside. It makes us look so backwards and nasty
But you were happy to post on Come on Boro pretending you were a Tory just like you pretend you're a socialist on here. Your politics depend on which way the wind is blowing. You are convincing nobody.

No, but hey keep revising history, Thye used to do that on there too.

I don't need to revise history. I was a member on there and witnessed your posts.
It was the done thing to take waht I said and twist it and lie on there. Well done you for trying to carry on that tradition here too.

I would say the poster on here have a bit more cognitive reasoning than the Red Roar crowd so I'm afraid your lies probably won't work as well though. Sorry
