Sam Morsy - Three Year Deal

I was thinking more in terms of players due to sign for the club or at least planned to.

I remember Paul Ince being pictured in a Man Utd shirt when he was still at West Ham! Haha big kick off over all that. I wonder if we ever got a shirt printed up for Ben Watson?

From watching the press conference on the website Warnock talks like he has actually signed and we are just waiting on clearance he can play tomorrow.

"I felt we needed another top class goalkeeper and its been great to get him onboard" Sounds like he has signed to me.
Later on in the press conference Warnock underlined he hasn't yet signed him - but surely he will sign today.

This was my first Boro match, Jim Platt's testimonial v Sunderland.
Best was offered the chance to join Boro, in an effort to get fit for the 1982 World Cup, and I believe Bobby Murdoch waited at Teesside Airport for him to arrive. As was typical of Best, he didn't turn up.

My dad is an Irish Man United fan and he nearly went to the airport himself to meet him!

Well I've never known that before. You haven't signed a player but you get him to pose with a manager that's not his, holding a shirt with his name on at a club he hasn't signed for!!!

Seeing as he's not our player then, I wonder what Fulham will make of that!

Top of my head:
Keith Gillespie
(Boro top. Didn't sign. Amused a few Geordies and Blackburn fans).

Paul Ince
(Man Utd top. Signed. Annoyed millions of West Ham fans).

I seem to recall Peter Beardsley in a Boro top, playing in Pearsy's testimonial at AP.

He got some stick, but I thought fair play to him as the only player with no Boro links to turn up.

Not a playe but Erickson had agreed to sign for Blackburn but went to Lazio . Blackburn’s history could of been quite different you never know .
Pretty sneaky doing that to them .

I would expect it to be around 1mil. You look at the fire sale at Wigan and most have gone below what they are worth.

I believe Chesterfield have a 10% sell on fee anything over 200k. I would think given his age and Wigans 'predicament' he would be a bit cheaper than they value him.

The crediters set Joe Williams value.

I wouldn't expect it to be that high tbh. The creditors have an obligation to to bring money in, it's not a case of market value or going back and forth, bills have to be paid a debts need to be cleared. Morsy has 9 months left on his contract and could go for next to nothing in a few months whilst still costing money they simply don't have. It's a horrible situation for the club they have been totally ****ed over and it makes it even worse with the likes of Derby carrying on like they do.
