Why can you drink alcohol at rugby crickets games etc.

I'm sure you know the answer to that one. Not that drinking in football stadia would make any difference

Exeter City have probably got the biggest terrace now, shame we'll never see the likes again. Some of the Bundesliga grounds still have them without seats, Mainz and Union Berlin for instance.

There isnt really a choice though when the people in front stand in their seats.

At Cardiff you stand in the rail section and sit in the normal seats. Apparently this actually works. The rail seats were put in after Boro last visited.
They install more as and when they can afford them.

Cardiff surveyed away fans about the whole experience during the summer. It will be really interesting to read the results when it is published. But from talking to them it does seem to be working and giving fans a choice.
