I thought his plan was to save money by not having check in desk staff. The man is a bafoon and a greedy one at that.
He’s not going to staff the check in with more. The idea is to make you wait a ridiculously long time so you do reserve a seat in future and if you miss the flight tough luck.I thought his plan was to save money by not having check in desk staff. The man is a bafoon and a greedy one at that.
Not really, £20-50 for flights even if you have to buy upgrades they're still often the only carrier or the cheapest by some distanceAfter all the fanny on they're not budget airlines any more, might as well fly with a normal carrier.
They haven't announced that yet. What’s the charge for airport check in ?
I have a very specific case I accept that but there's often the point that ryanair don't use the most convenient airports too. After all the fanny on they're not budget airlines any more, might as well fly with a normal carrier.
You know what the answer is to this, don't fly with them. If people refused to pay Ryan Air and other budget airlines hidden charges then they would soon change their mind on this. The trouble is, too many are willing to pay for a seat, to take a bag on, etc. and you can bet your bottom dollar, there will be plenty come on here and defend his strategy.

I think you'll find that most, if nearly all airlines do this.Wasn't there a thread last week about Ryanair's usage of "fake" aircraft parts from unlicensed suppliers?
Not all but certainly a few Delta, Tui, Ryanair have all found to have these components on their aircraft.I think you'll find that most, if nearly all airlines do this.
Fine in principle, but the basic price misleads many people, with so many add ons "offered", what won't he add to the menu of options that really are basics. Why would people refuse to fly with them, he's not doing anything immoral he's just using a different model to some of the more traditional airlines. So rather than offering a "all in" price, he offers a basic model which you can then augment with extras in order to arrive at a final price (which is still often cheaper than the more traditional equivalent). The charges aren't hiddem, they're displayed in the terms and conditions before you proceed to payment.
No different to plenty of other industries, yet people seem to think he's doing something unethical or criminal.
