Round the world air tickets

I get air sick, still no need to decry the pull for others like me and the great Rod Stewart who loves sailing.
I mean.. if you or Rod get put off a cruise due to my own personal sea sickness.. then maybe the pirate life isn’t for either one of you.

That is exactly why such cruises are enjoyable, no riff-raff 😉 , getting to see so many countries and landmarks in one fantastic journey. Thank heaven for equity release, you can't take it with you, but you can store memories. If it aint for you, decrying the pull for others is a little narrow minded.
Also inferring that Newy is riff-raff is also a little narrow minded. I am with him on cruises never fancied them but don't consider myself to be riff-raff. ;) ;):ROFLMAO:

Done

Sydney to San Francisco

San Francisco to New York

New York to London Heathrow

London Heathrow to Singapore

Singapore to Sydney

All flights were either Qantas or a Qantas code share apart from San Fan to NY and NY to London.

And what about the outbreaks of norovirus? That would certainly make you seasick. and then there is having to listen to Jane McDonald.

I went on a cruise, too many people , too many sunbeds around a small pool, too much time at sea, and not enough time in port.
Would i go again? no.

I did it back in 2006, booked London to Beijing, Bangkok to Sydney, Melbourne to Christchurch, Auckland to fija, Fiji to LA and the NYC bk to London.

I did loads of research before booking and the above was £830. "Internal" flights back then were cheap as chips, I got one flight, Chengdu to Lijiang for about £10.

No downside other than it needs researching so you include all the expensive flights on your destinations.

All my flights on that ticket were BA or Quantas

Been to the Azores with the missus when Portugal won the Euros. One of the best places I have ever been and we will go again in the near future for sure . Amazing and so many different climates and landscapes in one place . Plus of course the sea life . Oh and we went in June and the flowers were out , and the temperate was perfect …Oh and the locals were amazing and welcomed us so much to watch the footy with them giving us food and drink. Blooming brilliant
Cheers mate. Madeira was also fantastic if you haven’t been. Sounds similar

When we did it managed to limit it to just Qantas and United Airlines.

Made a big difference...when you start adding the multiple airlines the price really jacks up.

Thanks for that. The more I think about it the more I think I may be too old for it too.

We're planning on going to Oz but I don't fancy the one big journey. Maybe just sort out a place to stay for a week or two in each direction.
On different trips from UK back to Oz, we've done a few days in Singapore, 5 days in Dubai and 9 days in US.
For us, the best one was stopping in US - flew into San Francisco and explored Yosemite and Lake Tahoe, both easily accessible from SF.
On the Oz to UK leg, we tend to book the shortest stop over we can find.
