Rogers and Greenwood

How do you think they played today?

I find them both very frustrating. Roger’s just jogs around and never closes down players and seems to only ever give 50%. Greenwood just went missing again and often failed to track back. His crossing was poor also.

I think once our squad is fully fit and we have some new players in both of these will drop out of the starting lineup.

BUT maybe I am just not a fan so could be wrong.

Rogers is a class act. He excites me every time I watch him. He’s going to be a star.

Greenwood started brightly here but you’ve got to say if he doesn’t score then he doesn’t do a lot. I think we have made a shrewd signing in Azaz and Greenwood will eventually become a back up player. He’s got a lot do really to earn himself a permanent deal here if that’s what he wants.

If it’s just about tonight I think both were our least good players.

I can honestly remember about 3 touches from greenwood and although rogers saw more of the ball and had a couple of decent moves- he really needs to work on his ball retention much better. Both of them loose the ball so easily compared to Coburn and latte lathe as part of that front 3.

Yep, he dawdles too much, thinking he’s got more time than he has. He got caught out a few times, tonight, including his “shot”, not aware that premier league players won’t give him a moment.

All part of his development 👍 still think he’ll be our first £30m sale.

Greenwood won’t reach that sort of level, I fear, but will back him all the while he wears our shirt

Do you even watch the games. Granted he sometimes isn't the best with his decision making but the lad works his ar5e off. Constantly closing down, chasing.
Do you even watch the games if you think he works his **** off 😂😂😂😂 he has been dog **** for months

Not just me who feels he’s been playing poor. Greenwood’s gazette ratings recently: (not ratings that reflect someone working their **** off). Since he scored against Leicester (almost two months ago), his form has definitely gone off the boil.

Villa - 6
Coventry - 5
Huddersfield - 5
Rotherham - 5
West Brom - 6
Swansea - 7
Hull - 5
Ipswich - 5
Preston - 6 (sub)
Bristol City - 6
Leicester - 8 (goal)

Fella you’re watching a different game to me.

Greenwood certainly works hard, in fact he almost tries too hard at times, certainly with his finishing where a bit more finesse would be nice.
He could have easily had a ton of goals recently with better luck/finishing.

I don't know how many full seasons Greenwood has played(thinking about his stamina). He looks knackered to me. He moves around the pitch putting in little effort. The way he was caught offside as we were putting some pressure on them right at the end really annoyed me. He was actually walking as the rest of the team were bursting a gut to get the ball back into the box.
I hope its just a lull in form and he picks up again.

I thought Rogers had some good moments and had a decent game overall. Greenwood did his bit for the team first half without ever really getting on the ball but faded, again.

Shocked so many people rate Rogers so highly. To describe him as a “class act” I find completely baffling. I will continue to watch him and hopefully I am proven wrong.

Rogers is excellent. He looks a bit laid back at times but his vision and close control are an asset. He sometimes marks space when closing down would work better but that's a minor concern,

Greenwood works hard but hasn't been as effective as his early form promised. One of the few who's willing to have a pop from distance. Maybe needs a rest but I wouldn't write him off. I certainly don't think he hides at all. He's always buzzing around trying to get involved.

Both would benefit from a tap-in to take the pressure off.
