Riverside stadium debt

I don't think we own the freehold - because i'm sure we have a 'pepper corn' rent to Middlesbrough Council for £1 a year for the next 100 years? Someone in the know.... will probably know more details than me

Killers and Take That at Riverside, have Derby ever had any? Makes our argument/ valuation with roof etc much more plausible 🙄

This seems to be a question never answered.

I believe Gibson owns the training ground and the stadium, not MFC. I’d love the question to be asked and answered on both fronts.

As far as I know MFC owns the stadium and the training ground, but not the hotel, golf course, restaurants etc at Rockcliffe. However there is a £30m debt to Baulkhaul/Gibson family, but no other long term debts.

Yes according to the Club’s balance sheet they have long leaseholds valued at £86m and with no external debt. No idea how that is split between the stadium and Rockcliffe.

They have had The Red Hot Chillie Peppers and James Brown. That's the only one I can think of and that was about 15 years ago.

As players don't count as financial assets - they must own the Stadium and Training ground to get anywhere like £86m. The £86m looks a bit generous, but after the Derby decision probably correct.

Think how many 'houses' you could build on the Hurworth land - obviously it probs wouldn't get planning permission, but i would imagine that's where most of the value is

But the training ground is on a long leasehold so I doubt the value is in the land sell on value. I might be wrong but the freeholder will enjoy that.

On the Rockliffe Hall accounts the properties are listed as freehold. If MFC leases the training ground then presumably it is leased from Rockliffe Hall.
