Riverside Quiet Room

So the day was great.
We got to the ground about 1ish. Picked up our tickets in the North Stand.

Had an hour in the fan zone with some friends and their kids. Little man played with his brother on their electronics and enjoyed a hot dog etc.

We had decided to leave going into the the ground till last minute so to minimise little man's time in the noisy environment. So went into our seats around 2.45ish.

He stuck his headphones on and we headed to his seat. Headphones obviously let some sound through which was great because it meant he got up and enjoyed clapping to pigbag etc.

First half went smoothly. He sat ultra focused on the game and really enjoyed it. Headphones came off after about 30 mins.

I think the break at half time was bad for him and he started getting a bit anxious and unsettled at half time. It didn't help when we conceded as I had a bloke in front of me who decided the best reaction to going 1-0 down was to hurl abuse at our own players. Rogers taking the brunt of it. I think maybe that upset the little man. Headphones went back on.

He loved seeing Hackney's goal though and the headphones came back off as he sang a few songs when the atmosphere lifted. We ended up sneaking off after 90 mins to avoid the crush. I hated that personally as I never leave early and especially as I felt like there was maybe a winner there for us. But sometimes need must.

We didn't make use of the "Subs Bench" but was
close to it at one point. His mam almost took him down there. It was nice to know that facility was there is if needed.

Thanks for all the kind messages guys.

Oh and his first words when we got back in the car after the game were, "Can we come again Dad?" UTB
That's so nice.
